I do not understand why you would tell your wife you have the hots for another woman particularly a woman you will never have.

That could be a source of hurting your wife's feelings and rather pointless considering you will never have this woman.

Is this a way to get back at your wife, putting her in her place?

nope, we don't play mind games or try to hurt each other.

besides, she knows, and i show it to her on a daily basis, that I'll never actually sleep with another woman.

we share everything, communicate to each other, even to the point of sharing who I think is the most beautiful woman in hollywood or on the internet, etc. there are no walls between us....and that's how marriage should be.

is she insecure that I find jessica simpson or megan fox very attractive? hell no! is it wrong to fantasize about that one night with jessica simpson? i don't think so. it's not like I'm actually going to actively pursue, or have a 1 in a million chance at it, or denigrate the importance of my love for my wife, etc, etc, etc, etc.
