Who Is Your Favourite Batman Actor?

Micheal Keaton...DUH!!! 😀

The 1989 version of Batman is STILL my favorite movie of all time.

Michael Keaton rocks.
And I love the 1989 Batman a lot but I wouldn't call it my favorite movie of all time.

Wow, some quick responses. 🙂

I think Keaton was excellent at portraying Bruce Wayne but I don't think he had the right build required for Batman's physical feats.

So I voted for Kilmer.

In terms of movies the first two are definitely the best although the next two are excellent as well. I especially liked the funny one liners from the Joker and the Pengiun.

Adam West was the goofy, fun Batman.

Michael Keaton was surprisingly effective (given his comedy background) as the wounded and mentally disturbed Batman.

Val Kilmer was the intriguingly mysterious Batman.

George Lazenby - err Clooney - was the bland, boring Batman.

In the old days, where I grew up: Adam West

Nowdays: Keaton

BTW, I have the original 1968 Batman movie. I loved it and still do. "Some days, you just can't get rid of a bomb" 😀

Adam West... that guy was great 😀 (and still is great in interviews)

I just recently watched the 1989 Batman on DVD... that movie definitely had some good moments, and some great lines for Nicholson ("This town needs an enema!", "Gentlemen, let's expand our minds..", etc..)

I don't think you can really compare Adam West's Batman to any of the newer Batmans (Batmen ?). Adam West's Batman was a goofy comedy (I heard somewhere it was a spoof of the action genre, but I never really researched that), whereas the newer movies are more serious. I still like Keaton's Batman. That and Kim Basinger was really hot in that movie (I haven't seen her recently, so I don't know if she still is).

Before I was able to read a huge number of Batman comics, I was a big fan of the movies. While I still like them, neither of them come close to really portraying my idea of Batman.

Batman is a ying yang character (I hope I used the word right), similiar to Two-Face. One side is Bruce Wayne, this vapid, wealthy playboy. The other is Batman, deep, dark, and determined. A good Batman movie needs to show both. You could argue that some Batman movies hint at these, but I don't think it's even close.

I'm hoping the new Batman movies will reflect this.

Also, let's have a Batman who isn't as slow as a whale for once (in fights).

First two Batmans with Keaton were the Best, the third was ok with Val Kilmer, but the last one with Clooney was absolutely horrible. The movies went from a dark action movie, to a comic, brightly lit show in the last one. I would have prefered to have Tim Burton direct all 4(?) of them.

Keaton was the BEST
