Who is your favorite movie reviewer?

I'm getting into movies again and I'm looking for a good critic to help me discover new films. Recommend any critics to follow?

I like the way rotten tomatoes does it by polling critics from all over. I don't always agree, but it does a good job most of the time. I've never been pleased by going with just one critic.

Word of mouth from peers.

I find most critics get too caught up in cliches to actually enjoy a decent, but not glorious movie. Sometimes entertainment is meant to be crude, senseless, or a little off-the-mark. I find that if I read a less-than-stellar critic review for a movie before actually watching it, I end up focusing too much on what they didn't like rather than overlooking it and enjoying the rest of the movie.

I like how Ebert writes, even though I often don't agree with him. His review compilations are great bathroom reading material.

I tend to agree a lot with Ebert. He's one of the few who seems to try to alter his expectations by genre. i.e. Horror/slasher vs Dramatic epic

I just got his app for iPhone. It's really good. (I should note that I don't read movie reviews before I see movies...just afterwards as interesting discussion material on the movie)

I like JeremyJahns on Youtube. That said, I have never found a Critic that I could trust to mirror my preferences consistently. I generally just look at Rottentomatoes for a synopsis/plethora of opinion, but even then I often don't agree with the results(Children of Men for eg).

You didn't like the greatest Sci Fi film of the last 40 years? (since 2001: A Space Odyssey)

weird.
