Changed the oil in my dads LS and finally retightened my belts one of the tensioners was pretty loose not sure how that happened

installed the studded snows on steelies on wife's Pilot last night. Test drove them for the first time, very nice.

Replaced the Heater Resistor yesterday in the Jeep. Upside down under the passenger side dash in a breezy 40 degrees.......that kinda sucked. Luckily only took like a half hour!

I call it wrenching, even though I only used a 8mm socket lol........

It was dark when I put the steelies and studs on wife's Pilot, so I did not really look at it. She goes in and is greeted by comments like "what did you do to your rig?"
Then she goes to an appointment. While she is waiting a lady parks her Pilot right next to ours, gets out and gives the wheels and tires a hard look. She is compelled to even touch the tire 🙂
She comes in and inquires, and my wife acknowledges it is hers.
"Do I need those tires? " she asks. "No, I only have them because my husband found a hot deal".
It does look tough on black rims with knobby tires. Loud, but tough! 😀

changed out my injectors today for some fresh overhauled 215's. Ran great, completely got rid of the haze that was following me around.

They say "axles and hubs" but don't say what in an axle or hub you can JB weld. I can't imagine what you'd want to JB weld on either one of those... even low-load items like ABS sensors wouldn't be worth the risk IMHO.

Good luck getting anything that resembles a decent adhesive joint on that thing. I would much sooner take it to a welder and have it tacked back together.

If it broke after JB-welding it you'd have chucks of JB weld and whatever reinforcing material you used floating around everywhere in the CV joint. Bad news. A reman'd half-shaft assembly is around $60-70... just do it right. A failure could easily turn into a "call a tow truck" fiasco, if not worse, and will undoubtedly happen at the worst possible time.

I ended up getting it reman'ed for $50. But it costed me my $30 socket wrench trying to loosen that darn axle nut. I had it extended with 2' of piping. 1/2" drive just doesn't cut it for axle nuts.

I ended up taking it to a shop to ask them to help me loosen that axle nut. They kindly did it for free! 🙂 It took them several tries and extensions. Their airtools were useless. They then tried a breaker bar with 2' with no luck either. Then they busted out a 6' pipe and it loosened.

It was just 4 more bolts on the diff to remove the axle. I just did a quick swap in the parking lot and I was good.

It took me several hours and swear words to get this completed.
If I had the right tools, it would've taken 20 minutes.

The S2000 got holes drilled in its valve cover oil baffle to reduce intake blow-by in high-g left turns, valves adjusted, and new spark plugs.

Picked up an HY35 turbo Saturday, got it in tonight. Stock HX35 has a 12 CM housing, this HY is 9 CM. I thought I'd try it out and see how it spools.
It spools great 🙂 It goes live at 1600 RPM and right to the wastegate at 31 PSI. EGT's are OK with the small injectors.
