Well, it is pretty obvious that The Apprentice is one big advertisment for several different companies. (Look at Staples.ca :p ) Has anyone stopped watching it because they don't like this blatent commercialism?

I still like the show, but make a point not to buy that companies product that is being advertised.

I like that show, one of my fav's even though all the firms involved are making a nice sum of money being on the show.

Hey, I don't blame the guy for getting rich off of this. All the power too him. I was just wondering if anyone thought it was a little too much for their likeing.

I rarely watch it so it doesn't bother me too much although it is a bit more over the top from what little I've seen of that show.

I actually kind of like trying to spot the subtle product placmenets in shows. On Two and a Half Men, I've noticed that whenever Charlie is drinking a beer it's always Corona with the label facing out. Likewise his brother is always drinking Amstel Light.

I can't say I really see a true leader out of them either. It's amazing that Trump gets to choose from 100,000 people and how he picks a few of the people he does is beyond me. Or... Ratings > Good Employee

After the show once, I noticed they briefly flashed a notice that Trump consulted the show's producers when making his decision. So based on that tidbit, I'd say that ratings probably get some consideration.

Product placement in entertainment is only going to be a growing trend for many years to come, get used to it.
