His "There's a Better Way" got annoying the FIRST time he said it . . .
Then he kept repeating it

Like a broken record . . .

Other than that, he made some sense.

WOW, some seriously pathetic posts.

Karl Rove sells you a trained chimp that says he is a Christian and whose administration is the most divisive and incompetent in history.

The Dems bring out a person who has actually has lived and is living a Christ-like life and you think he's an infomercial.

I see how to gather all the ignorant right wing forum trolls together. Make a useless information-less post about how some guy looks. As long as he is a Dem you guys swarm in like flies on $hit and make equally useless replies. The level of intelligent post from the right here is surprisingly slim.

Wow, a seriously pathetic post.

I'm not questioning his religious values what I am saying is that it did sound too rehearsed and salesmen like. As I stated earlier a number of political commentators reinforced this last night as did the post this morning.

Gov. Tim Kaine didn't look or sound much like himself during his debut on the national stage after the president's State of the Union address. The governor, usually a confident and graceful speaker who ad libs with impressive control and sweep, seemed nervous and spoke painfully slowly at first.

How's that man-date working out for you? The gay marriage ammendment? Flowers for the troops? WMDs? <40% approval rates? Social Security?

Of course it was rehearsed ... it was a major nationwide speech. And of course he was selling himself and his party - so was Dubya. Big deal out of nothing!

Well if the Dems want to actually sell that message in an election year I guess they better start doing a better job of that. But I'm certain you think that is not a big deal at all. Just the same ole song and dance will get the vote out.

Hehe that quote could work for Bush as well. Nervous and painfully slow. Only thing is, Bush is POTUS, and he has done enough campaigning to get to that office you would think he knows a thing or two about delivering speeches.

However, with that said, he (Bush) did a good job last night delivering his speech, for once.

I don't like the "There is a Better Way" message either. It says nothing, and no one is interested enough to find out what that "Better Way" is. That message will not stand up to the terror propoganda.

Kaine is a moderate democrat who recently won in a supposedly red state; one who hasnt been in the public eye long enough for the rest of the intelligent world to hate him...yet... so gee, i wonder why the far left chose him to deliver the response! lol...

the democrats in this country have some decent ideas. what they DONT have is a "face" presenting them in a coherent and unified way. Tim Kaine was their attempt at finding a new face for their party, but once again they have chosen poorly.

Not to mention that left eyebrow of his that scares the hell out of everyone! lol...

I thought the MOST interesting aspect of the Democratic Response was that they did not seem to be attacking the Administrations goals and ideas, but instead focused on the management of those ideas. It was almost as if they were saying "ok, fine, we agree with your goals and ideas, but we would do them better." That is FAR different than the usual rhetoric which hasnt worked for them lately!

I totally agree, actually. The Democrats need to do a better job articulating their position and making themselves a real alternative to the fearmongering, corporate-whoring Republicans we have in office now. It shouldn't be a hard thing to do, but they sure make it look that way.
