Same here. I read for a long time before I registered and started posting.

Speaking of being here forever, I wonder if they're waiting for the 10 year anniversary to switch the software over. It would be appropriate.

Might be Harvey?

I wasn't very thorough, but I tried looking for the lowest user ID I could find.

Jason Clark (writer of AT articles?) was 572, but last time he posted was 2007.
Harvey is user 574 with a join time of 10/9/1999 2:12:18 AM

I think it's me. Russ and I were Mod/Admins on the old UBB board, before we moved to FuseTalk, and he and I were the first two registered to beta test it, right after Jason Clark, who was the System Admin at the time and one of the authors of FuseTalk. :cool:

I registered just before Russ. As you noted, my member ID number is 574, and his is 575. I searched, and there is no account with ID #573.

The next remaining earliest number I could find who is still posting is Budman. His profile ID number is 578.

If you want to search for others, the syntax to view profiles is:

ht[/i]tp://forums.anandtech.com/'tombstone.aspx?profileid=[profile ID number]

If you want to find your own profile ID number, or anyone else's, mouse over their profile icon, and you'll see the syntax:

javascript:winopen('tombstone.aspx?profileid=[profile ID number]','tombstone','560','490');
:)

Yep as far as Fusetalk goes Harvey has got to be the one. In UBB who knows anymore. I seem to remember that the first 5 hundred something IDs were reserved so open registrations started above that block of IDs. Anyone know how Russ is doing by the way? Really missed him when he left.

You beat me by a short while on Fusetalk. You're number 656.

Edit: I see Harvey at 574.

I was around before Fusetalk but don't remember how long or on what forum exactly. I remember the Hitachi (I think it was Hitachi - at Buy.com) monitor stuff with Harvey! :)
