I am, internet sharing is ok, though file transfer is slow compared to 10/100 LAN
can't set up a software firewall using zonealarm though...

The first HomePNA networks were only about 1 megabit speed. That's plenty fast for sharing an internet connection or printer, but noticeably slower than 10/100 ethernet.

Everyone I know with phoneline networking just use a router with NAT and don't bother to use a software firewall.

I run a phoneline network and use win2k server for routing and network secuity. The win2k machine has several phoneline NICs which connect to 1 computer, that way, each computer has a dedicated 1mb connection ;)

I am using the old 1 megabit phonelineand have been for about two years. It was easy to setup and handles Inernet/Print sharing with no problem.
