Who is Robert Horry ?

They start Samaki over Horry because Horry is getting older and they don't want him getting hurt especially since like all the Lakers he really steps it up when they get to the playoffs. Horry is better overall but samaki gets more boards, so when he and Shaq are in together it is nice since they don't need his offense as much with Shaq.

Aah thank you.

Dude, don't forget about Mad Dog Madsen. That boy was playing like a madman now that they gave him some minutes. Its no wonder the fans love him. He never stops to breathe!

love robert horry...saw him at the airport once...tall guy....

used to hate him when he played for houston and killed the lakers like 3 straight years in the playoffs with his 3s...
now love him for killing everyone else 🙂

but yeah...seems like shaq, kobe, horry are the only lakers worth the money

I hope I don't get flamed for this but Devean George could end up being worth the contract they signed him to. He got off to a slow start this year and he gets in foul trouble sometimes (almost every game) but he is starting to hit some good shots for the lakers and he is an intense rebounder.

Big Game Bob! Damn I wish I still had NBA league pass (screw you AT&T/Comcast!! :| ), I miss watching Laker games. Listening to them on internet radio just is NOT the same. I heard that last shot, but seeing it is so much better.

until devon 'whine like a baby' george can play some defense, i won't even consider him as worthy of $hit. seriously now, he's not even averaging 10ppg/5rpg and he's making $4,500,000/year!

horry may have made the winning basket, but you know that 3 kobe took a few seconds before should've counted. it's called continuation, he was fouled, he jumped, he scored before he came down. if that's not continuation, then i don't know what is 😕

with all that said, i've gotta say horry is the only other laker that earns his money.

I just got home from the game... sweeeeeet!!

The refs were lucky that the Lakers won in regulation, because they completely blew the non-call against kobe. Should have been a 3 and 1. The refs sucked all game, but the Lakers should have ended it in the third and let the pacers come back. Shaq was in foul trouble and had to let jermaine dunk away during the second half. No free chalupa for me. 🙁

Still, a great game to see. Kobe's two handed turn around dunk from the baseline was the most incredible thing I've ever seen. 😀😀😀😀

The first game I've seen at Staples and easily the most entertaing basketball game I've ever watched.

Laker haters cry a little more.... 😀

Has anybody seen Robert Horry AND Will Smith at the same time in the same room? Mabye Horry would like to trade places with Will and Jada Pinket-Smith some night.

Who is Robert Horry?

An immature, hothead in college

but

a super-awesome, clutch player in the NBA.

Wow, that Alabama team had 4 future NBA players, and they still got owned by the other team. The only other NBA player I see on the other team was Jamal Mashburn.

That was the final year or next to final year of Head Coach Wimp Sanderson. Alabama was always competitive under him but never made it past the Sweet 16. Despite sending a good number of players to the NBA Bama has never had a truly successful basketball program.

Sean Woods tried out for the Pacers. But alas, he didn't make it.

I remember watching that particular game on AFN-Europe (CBS rebroadcast). If I remember correctly, Horry threw a temper tantrum after an intentional foul, then got a technical, and UK kept the ball and scored, resulting in a 6 point momentum change for the Wildcats during the 2nd half.

Once Horry went to the NBA though, he really caught fire. He was great with the Rockets and has been just a super clutch shooter for the Lakers.

Another link of future NBA players faltering against good team play

The tallest man on the floor for UK during the above linked game was 6'7" (Pelphery, Feldhaus and Reggie Hanson - current UK assistant coach). On the other hand, LSU had 2 7 footers in Shaquille O'Neil and Stanley Roberts plus Chris Jackson (aka Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf ).

Isn't he the NBA Player who has anger management issues like going after fans in the stands?

No. You're probably thinking of Rasheed Wallace, among others.
