Still with the guy? Me? No one will cheer louder when the fat orange mango mussolini shit himself for the final time. Hands down, the worst president in the history of the US.That's not a thing, no one anywhere thinks that's a possibility. If you're still with the guy at this point you are beyond hope. Trump, being an immature piece of shit who requires praise like most people require oxygen, just deserves to be aware of what the country really thinks of treasonous pedos. As a malignant narcissist it probably infuriates him to no end that these crowds are far larger than any of his rallies that were thrown at the height of his popularity. I like to think the stress is working for America. Sooooon.
The cult and it's leader aren't the intended audiences. As usual this is about convincing the politically non aligned and indies that the emperor really has no clothes, that you need to vote, and that there will be a reckoning for this fascist corruption of the nation.
Because a bunch of people decided to approach voting as an exercise like choosing a fast food meal and figured nothing bad would happen if they opted out because none of the menu items appealed to them instead of treating it like it really is: an exercise in deciding who would be welding power on their behalf for the next few years.Harris lost ~15 Million of Biden's voters from 2020. Where the fuck are those people?
And absolutely no blame goes to the Dem establishment who fucked up the entire 2024 election cycle, and then had Kamala campaign towards the corporate consultant class center, including with Liz Cheney. No, none of those factors even exist. It's as if political parties have no agency and are not part of the election process, it's just voters' minds involved, and that's it.Because a bunch of people decided to approach voting as an exercise like choosing a fast food meal and figured nothing bad would happen if they opted out because none of the menu items appealed to them instead of treating it like it really is: an exercise in deciding who would be welding power on their behalf for the next few years.

Youse folks don’t get it…the protests might not be adulation, but good or bad, you’re still talking about him…and that feeds his narcissism.
I keep hoping a real American-born patriot will step up and put him out of our misery…but with the shitstorm he’s caused in Iran and the middle east, I’m afraid it will be a foreigner who does for him…and that won’t be good.

I've answered this question so many times at this point, and again, you make the terrible assumption so many have of what I mean when I say the Dems flubbed the campaign, among other things. Who said to appeal to Trump supporters? I never ever said the Dems should have tried to turn Trump voters, they are goners. There were a ton of people who didn't vote, weren't inspired to vote, and didn't understand the consequencees, and a chunk of progressives who are so done with the Dem party's gaslighting, corruption, being used and lied to, and all the bullshit, so they stupidly decided to stay home and not vote, but once you fool and lie to people so much, this is the shit that actually happens. A political party should have figured that part out. The Dem establishment are corrupt idiots though.I've asked this before and never got an answer.
How were the Dems supposed to appeal to women who didn't want to support equal rights? Or brown people who don't have a problem supporting a racist who puts kids into cages? Or people dumb enough to think the price of eggs was more important than understanding what a tariff is? Be specific.
It's almost like we're dealing with a cult, no? While Dems are still searching on how to answer it, and it's beyond frustrating waiting for it, personally I don't think that is anywhere near as scathing an indictment as the evil or idiocy required to vote for a twice impeached mentally ill pedo, traitor and convicted felon who tried to overthrow an election he lost.

The Dems failed at getting non Trump voters out to vote. Starting with letting Biden steamroll the chance for any competitive primary when he should have been one and done, I mean that was unforgivable, and I called it out the entire time that he should not be running (and attacked here for it nonstop), and so were so many progressives I know, years of pulling to the center and suppressing and cutting out literal progressive candidates, as well as any real progressive cause at this point, sounding too much like consultants for so many years instead of just real people, years of not calling out the enemy in plain and simple language, and some other things.
Technically, calling Trump a narcissist is incorrect. He's a solipsist. No, we get it.
See thing is, he is infamously thin skinned. Simply can't take any of the abuse he levels at others, then he throws tantrums over it. You are giving him credit for something he isn't capable of. When's last time you saw him claim any Epstein PR is good PR, and engage in it? He reeks of fear and fury, and stews in it like a child with a shitty diaper. He doesn't want people talking about him and Epstein, he doesn't want people talking about him and colluding with the Russians, he doesn't want people talking about his insurrection and fake electors plots.
Narcissism fuel not found, sorry.
I mean not sure what you're trying to say then. Of course the Democrats are better people than the Republicans. And better at running the government. What is your point?Tell you what, I'm just going to pull a point of order and refer you to post #23 regarding that premise there.
"The cult and it's leader aren't the intended audiences. As usual this is about convincing the politically non aligned and indies that the emperor really has no clothes, that you need to vote..."
A little surprised you missed that. No worries. Biden trying to run again is a fair criticism, specific enough I guess. I do recall Kamala Harris calling out Project 2025 dangers in plain and simple language though, fwiw several others as well.
Thing is regardless of who it is the Dems still deliver measurably better performance in office, have for some time. Trump still fucked the country and non wealthy hard 2016-2020. When you add in the treason, the felony convictions, the sheer corruption and apparent history of being a child rapist. Yeah, I don't get it. Seems like there is a scale at work here that I am unfamiliar with.
As for political parties 'figuring it out,' I don't think they will so long as it is in AIPAC's interest they don't. Steering control of this country to crazy Rs selected by holy rollers and the oil lobby is what they want, not a progressive agenda. We need a real Congress, one that works and understands what happens when we let foreign aligned interest groups take over the place. Currently AIPAC runs a game that everyone has to play if they want to stick around, regardless of party. That has to change.

*snipped for brevity*
So, I didn't say they were better people. I said Dem governance works out better for the nation. I think the distinction is important. Last I looked about a 1/3 of them are just as bad as repugs, vote wise. And almost all have to tap dance to AIPAC's tune.
You're acknowledging the Dems deliver a better end result, but also defending others over turning their noses up at that better end result, even when the other choice is child rape, treason, fascism, war, economic turmoil and measles coming back?
K. Great. Those Dems and undecided will be the most progressive folks on the cinder. Let's remember that proud affront to the Dem establishment as we send our kids off to invade Iran.
Here, I'll rephrase the original question I posed to all:
Conniving Dem establishment and Biden's age and pride aside, I'm curious to know what specifically policy/message wise Kamala could have done, that she didn't do, that would have convinced those 15million people to vote for her - the people determined to 'send a message,' even though they seem aware of the danger of future elections being compromised by a second Trump term.
