i still remember how invicible we all felt. i remember when yahoo was like $313 a share!!!

man those were the days.

but with is all this free stuf you all speak of?

all i know iare probably A LOT of dorky late 20-early 30 year olds sitting in 5 million dollar mansions right now. the ex CEO's of these now defunct companies that are the real winners of all this (if they cashed in on their stock options, and i'm sure many did). I think some of the biggest losers are the less educated do it yourself investors that poured money into these companies.

I remember getting a ton of dvds from 800.com, buy.com, a bunch of other online stores for dirt-cheap! 3for1cent deals, etc. Free shipping too!

I also liked day trading on .com stocks and making $2K a day. :D

I remember my friend was working for a company called pcorder or something, but he said they had a kitchen in the building that was filled with food, can goods, ham in the fridge, cokes, etc (like a regular house kitchen) and it was free for the employees. He said people would come in with duffel bags and clean it out and the next day it would be all stocked up again.

hehe. hell yes.

I am still using an air conditioner, microwave, dishes, coffee maker, pots and pans that I got free, between mothernature.com,vitamins.com planetrx,drugstore.com and more.com I didn't need to buy soap, shampoo, toothpaste, cosmetics, razorblades, toliet paper, paper towels or coffee for a couple of years.

I also got tons of cash too:)

Other fav's were pets.com and of course staples:D

Hmm, quite the freeloader. I didn't know female geeks wore cosmetics.

I ended up with about 40 free t-shirts. About half are no longer in business now. Kinda wish I hadn't turned them into work shirts... someday they might have been worth something.

Lot of fun though, VA bucks were the best!

Still waiting on that 19" hitachi though ;)

irrational overexuberance

remember how anyone who pointed out these companys were WAY overpriced and this couldn't last were derided as "dinosaurs" who just didn't understand "the new economy"?

The Dot.com era is slowly coming back. :)
You just won't see anyone putting 60 million dollars and 200 employees to put up a website
