Even if the guy is hoping for something to happen, he isn't necessarily expecting it. I can see a gay guy not feeling comfortable hiring a straight guy to do house-work, mostly out of fear of the straight guy not being comfortable and it causing serious friction. On the other hand I don't see why he doesn't just hire a woman, so maybe he is in it for teh buttsex.
