Who is going to E3 this year?

I wish it was tomorrow! This is my one little personal vacation every year - who else is going?

Im pretty sure Im going. Im hooking up with a bunch of friends of friends who have their own website and go every year.

Although like a jackass I never renewed my license cause I dont really drive, so I wasnt able to preregister. I have faith that they have all the credentials needed to get me in there at the show, but for anyone who's gone before, do they hold the place down like fort knox or do I have little to worry about? I dont want to hop a plane across the country just to get turned down at the door...

I would love to go, but I have no industry leads. Any "tips" for getting into the show? Do I just need to say that I have a videogame website? Do they check? Does the website have to be of a particular caliber?

I can see at the door

"ID please"

"I'm 2l33t 4 U" on AT!"

"ID please"

"Dude, did you hear me?"

"I'm going to have to ask you to leave now"

You guys missed the free registration deadline anyway, if you want to go now you'll have to pay for it!

I'll be there, at least for one day. Have to say I was underwhelmed at last year's E3. The free stuff isn't as good as it used to be.

I'll be curious to see first hand how WoW is coming along.

I am, this year's E3 isn't going to be really big. The PSP and DS will probably be demo'ed but not playable. NEXT YEAR'S E3 on the other hand, that's going to be the big one.

<-- was at E3 during the Xbox, GC, GBA launch year (and the PS2 reaching maturity)

E3 does have boobage though. They always got that.

Not if youre media. But you need serious creds to back that up. Not sure if Im going yet but hopefully.

8 of my friends are going this year, good ol' being part of the media, I was supposed to go, but can't since I've got school from May - August... damn.. well next year it'll work out.

Its yet to be known if MS will have XboxNext at E3. If they are planning Q4 2005 release, XboxNext should be announced and shown at E3. MS has been quite tight lipped about XboxNext, simply because they dont want to slow Xbox sales with an early announcement/showing.

I've been to every show since the Quake 1 tournament where Thresh won the Ferarri....Carmack was standing right by me, and I didn't know who he was, I was thinking he was just some little guy who was a Quake fan....Romero acted like he was a rock star - idiot...

I want to see Doom3 ready to go by then!

My friend says I should go, since I can get industry creds now...but it's doubtful that I'd get the days off of work anyway. ah well. It was always be a dream, and just that.
