Agreeing to suspend disbelief and speaking purely in the point of view of comic authenticity, many of you guys are whack!

First of all, why does it matter that speed is the Flash's "only" power. You make it sound like a person cannot be good at more than one thing. Furthermore, both the Flash and Superman and and ALL OTHER heroes have powers because of special circumstances, not because they worked hard and practiced. It's not as if the Flash is faster because he dedicated all his time to speed.

Second, why does it matter if Superman spun the world around? He did that while flying. The OP said on their feet, on Earth.

Third, using Smallville as evidence doesn't make any sense. Like another poster said, if you used X-Men movies as your basis, you'd be off about Wolverine's height.

thats not really true, though.
because we know that superman and the flash in particular do, in fact, need to "practice" to get good at what they do. sure, an explosion and crash landing on our planet helped to give them the powers in their raw form, but dont expect me to believe barry allen (or wally or jay, i guess. we never really clarified which flash we were talking about) could just run across the atlantic when first given his powers!

the flash in particular has been shown in more modern times getting in touch with the "speed force" which, for all intents and purposes, is practicing.
i still stand by my initial assertion that the flash has more skill in weaving and avoiding obstacles as well as superior speed powers. superman might be able to outfly him, but a foot race is a shoot for the flash.

Flash can move quickly enough to

A) Travel through time.
B) Become intangible
C) Become invisible

Superman only did A once, in a movie, while Flash has done it dozens of times. Superman simply can't do B or C.

Flash wins any race.
