Who is doing the Midnight launch for Halo 3?

I might be last place in line. I gotta work that night, usually get out around 9:30, but who knows when people will start lining up.

Still, will be fun. My friends preordered online, so none of em will be campin out with me. Goin lone gun.

I have better things to do at Midnight on the 25th.... like sleeping then going to work the next day. I'll be getting it eventually, I just don't feel the complete need to rush out and buy it just because everyone else will be.

How does this work? So if you pre order at Best buy and you select in store pickup, can you just go on the day it comes out and there will be a copy waiting for you without going through the line?

I don't really know. I have a pre-order at Gamestop, I don't know how they are going to do it. Separate lines, same line, got me there.

Not me. I don't really see the point in Halo 3, never really liked Halo 2 or the original that much. I'll eventually get it, but I have other games to beat first.

I got a copy through work reserved, we already have them from the distributor too. Not allowed to take it home until the 25th though.

I would love to go to one of these things. I know it sounds dorky, but hey now that I am 25 I have come to terms with the fact that I like dorky things and am in my element during geek talk. But unfortunately I have my first exam in Anatomy next week and will be spending most of my time with my cadaver instead of gaming.

Is anyone in the NY/NJ area going to this.

I wonder if I order it from Amazon... will they ship it on the 24th and get it to me on the 25th like Gamestop/EBGames will? Heck, I only pay 1.99 1-day shipping with them through Amazon Prime, which is cheaper than tax and driving to a store to buy it. So I can just go home and it will be on my doorstep 🙂.

I probably will. Although I'll most likely only play the game for an hour or so since I have school the next day.

I'm going. No sure what time to head over there. I'd like to be in the first 20 or so people so I can be out of there fast. I've got to go to work at 7 am but oh well, it'll be nice to know it's at home and not one more stop after work. I'll play an hour or two before bed.

Well I asked the guy at my local Gamestop if people who have prepaid have to wait in line and he said no, they will be called to a different line at Midnight

Yeah but if there are 20 pre-paid people before me, it's still a line

doesnt prepaying or preordering and then standing in line at midnight kind of defeat the purpose? well i guess it doesnt matter if it costs the same amount.

I haven't decided if I will or not. I heard that wal mart will be doing special check out lines for the game so I might venture over there. I'm just not that excited about it, so I will probably pick it up in the morning and play that day since I don't have class. 🙂

I'll be working at Gamestop for our midnight release, and our store now has over 600 reserves. It's going to be ridiculous how packed the store will be. I also will be running the Halo 2 tourney, so it's going to be absolute hell. So yes, I'll be attending 😛.
