Who is better at rebates?

All three stores Compusa, Bestbuy, and Circuit City have something i want for different prices but all with rebates that in the end makes them have almost the same price.

But which of the stores is better at Rebates?

i got screwed on a compusa rebate

it said it had 2 that made the software like 10 dollars

well i needed the original UPC for BOTH rebates

so i sent in the 25 dollar one instead of the 15 dollar one

Never had a problem with BB rebates.

Circuit city rebates were good as well.

CrapUSA? never got their rebates. I dont buy from them

aside from staples easyrebates++, i have several bestbuy rebates and they were all good. They send the checks in the form of a postcard so they are easy to accidentally throw out or mistake for junkmail.

I've had BB rebates returned within a month

CC ... latest was 5 weeks

I don't get from CompUSA

Had only one denied through CCity, None at BestBuy, several at CompUSA....but in terms of quickeness...
CCity > BBuy > CUSA

Suckers, I've never lost a rebate, but CC and BB seem to be the best, CompUSA's always come in, though.

It's all about the company handling the rebates, not the store offering them.

Quite a few COMPUSA rebates go to New Rochelle the absolutely most hated place on Earth to send rebates to. They will try to find every excuse not to honor your rebate. It happened to me and it is a pretty consistent trend with many shoppers.




Anywhoo if the product you're buying has a rebate at 3 stores which give you the same price in the end or it is the same rebate amount, then chances are they're all going to the same place. It also could be a manufacturer rebate. But sometimes they have unreputable fulfilment houses such as New Rochelle handle their rebates. It could go to many different fulfilment houses. Show us the rebate and we can have an idea of what's good.
