Who is at work today?

I live in NE Ohio and it took me an hour longer to get into work today (about 4x as long). I get in to work and there are about 4 people on my team of 23. In my dept we have about 1/5 of the office here.

I don't know why the hell we didn't close today. Every school, and lots of businesses are closed. We are expected to get another 4-6 inches during the day. Who else is at work?

I just spent half an hour de-icing my car, but I'm still here. No whether or not my co-workers are going to show up is another story.

I may as well be at work... had to bring my car for annual service and got a loaner vehicle (made sure it was also AWD) back.. I feel like I went out to work for the first time in almost 3 years.

BTW, I saw a nice yellow Mustang do a 180 on the highway. Hah. If I could see inside the dark cabin I bet his face was red.

Same here, and the road was covered in ice too. I'm at work now.

got here at 6:40, watching the snow and wishing I had driven the 3700lb AWD car as opposed to the 2700lb FWD with bolding front snow tires. Rears are new though.

We're just getting high winds here in TN. Later we're supposed to get a lot of rain and maybe a few flurries.

working.

I was really tempted to call out sick but I didn't want to screw over the overnight guys since the next person doesn't come in till 2 hours after I do.

I only got like 2 hours of sleep last night... tossing and turning, stressing about work stuff, and then I had to wake up early to cook breakfast and shovel the sidewalks.

went to bed: ice storm, everything coated 1/4 inch.
woke up: rain, all the ice melted, everything was peachy.

7 inches outside my house, took me quite some time to make it in. I love it, my co-workers call in droves saying they can't make it... makes for a quiet, productive day.

Dallas has alot of icy patches on the freeways this morning...coupled with the idiot drivers out there, the freeways are a mess right now...working at client's site for awhile and they have delayed their start time to 10 AM.

I'd say about a 1/4 of the cars on the way in didn't bother with this step. Snow and ice covering all windows and mirrors except the windshield. Lazy assholes. Oh yeah, and  to my garage, no ice scraping until after work.

Took me 50 minutes to go 10 miles. A little less than half our office is here. Just north of Detroit.

Yep it took me x4 longer to get to work, and I am the only one here so far. I was supposed to do some range testing outside ... but now it's cancel and I am sitting here with snow shoot and shit.

I'm in. It's funny because I made it earlier than usual by taking the bus... I only live 5-10 minutes from work, so I really have no excuse for not showing up.

Only got 8 inches, and the roads were mostly clear. Although i've driven in at 6am in 8 inches of uncleared snow before just fine.

I make it in no matter what. 20 minutes to get my truck in a driveable condition, then fighting the ice and snow covered roads..
Of course my girlfriend is off again today, teacher.
She texts me at 6 am asking do I really have to go in so early... I'm like yeah, Some of us don't have the luxury of a 2 hour delay or a day off because its slippery.
They have worked 1 full, normal week in the past month and a half. Such BS
