I'm still trying to get my life back in order, the idea of having to make sure another person needs me is something that freeks me out...

So I'm going to stick with my two cats right now...
 
"I am not having kids", is my thought at this point in life.

1) I have an underdeveloped maternal instinct. Not nonexistent, just severely stunted. So no real drive to have children.
2) Pain. No further explanation needed.
3) What happens if you have kids and you don't like them? They're people, and if you just plain don't like them?
4) 18+ years of total responsibility.
5) I'm on medications for my arthritis that I would have to be off of for a minimum of six months before even *trying* to concieve, remain off them for the duration of pregnancy, and stay off if I breast-fed. That means I would likely be rendered mostly immobile for that whole period, unable to walk without pain, make a fist, or open my mouth very far without pain.

No, I don't think I'll have children. There are enough in the world as it is, I can help out other folks with theirs when I want a dose.
 
In five years I hope to have minendo junior running around, but I do not want to rush anything. It all depends on my job environment (if any) and where I am living.
 
Sorry, I can wait. I almost couldn't wait before, but not anymore. No kids at least until I hit 30. That's many years from now, though time flies.

Edit: "I absolutely love kids! But I absolutely hate babies."

Yeah, the thought of changing diapers sometimes freaks me out. I guess I can hire a maid to help me out if it's overwhelming? 😱 I know some people will devour me, but whatever. I'm just being honest. My feeling probably will change when I'm set to have kids. 😉

Yeah, kids really change your life but definitely for the better in my case.

As for me, I'm 34 and have no kids, nor do I particularly want them. I have a dog... 🙂
 
I never had any desire to have kids, and won't be having any. I was lucky to find a wife who feels the same, so it all worked out.

I don't know how to relate to kids so I get frustrated around them. Kids sense that and they don't like me. It's all for the best.
