I don't anymore. I DO give roughly 10% (or more) to different charities. I have fallen out of confidence/trust? with organized "church"

Only church i give often to is the one across the street from my house. they actually do a LOT for the local area.

No I dont give my taxes because I never turned them in, but once in a while we would take a rubbish bag full of cloths we find by the dump, sort threw them salvage nice cloths...wash them a few times an give them to our local church.

Growing up, I always felt bad for people who dig threw the trash, until my first job watching my co-workers finding brand spanking new things, not even out of its wrapper...where I worked was a military housings so most of the time they moved an had to much crap so they just throw away what they cant fit.

I tell you every thursdays we'd fight over the dumpster being that there was always broken jewelry in there...some dumbasses Huh! we took them to cash for gold an got like 400$ each time. lol I miss that job of grounds keeping...oh wells

Cause it looks pretty?

Temple Square is really pretty at Christmas. Growing up, my parents would take me to see the lights every holiday season and we'd catch a free Tabernacle concert.


Plus the Mormon bishops keep very detailed records, for example you need to be giving full tithe in order to receive a temple recommend to attend the temple.

lol. I too agree with that, when it comes to the giant well of Churches that usually go to war with other religons..I say the nay no my brotha...but local churches who help homelss, confused an abonded people get back on there feet by clothing, feeding an educating them are a plus ^_^

I just dont like the hypocritical part...remeber that movie Oh God? The one with the old man who made a fool out of the paster? lol Thats dead true about most big church orginizations...they care only for there wealth, I cant belive some of the storys on the 700's club like 10 people who had already gone into backrupt an out in the streets, lost there homes an jobs an yet there storys was if I just keep giving the church a 100$ a week god will provide the rest...Pfwa ha ha ha fuck man. the church is the one supposed to be giving them the money not the other way around.

Some people though, they just want to learn about God not so they can better them selves, just so they can have the feeling of telling some what else what to do...you notice, most of those people are in a crisis in there lives, yeah...like I need an advice from some one whos lose-ing it. XD

All I know is when it comes to all the religons in the world its good to share there belifes, but once it gets out of hand to the points of fighting an taunting by saying your god is this an he did that an all that jazz...then....keep your religon to your self. At-least that shows you have respect for man kind...you know...what all gods are implimented in saying what we should do?

A couple of the big churches in around Greenville make members tithe. You can't become a member unless you give them your bank account info. I tithe when I can. Why? Because it is in the Bible and God has led me to do so.

Why do you care what people do with their money?

Giving money to the church or to other charities is almost certainly a more productive use of the money than "forced tithing" it to the government.

I'm not religious, before anyone accuses me of being a bible thumper.
