haha..

pwn3d.

I don't think so. Fausto is doing his usual "knock the source and not the argument" routine, and once again falsely believes (and would have you believe) that makes a logical argument. If you don't believe that gays are (on average) more promicuous than straights, then you don't know any gays. End of story.
You can't make the generalization that this gay man is more promiscuous than this straight man. You don't KNOW that. It's not fair. Why not lock up black people because they're more likely to commit a crime, on average? This whole movement is about tearing down these generalizations that lead to discrimination.

Besides, do you propose that promiscuous straight people not be allowed to marry? It's a ridiculous argument.
I said (and I quote): "on average".

The rest is your arguments, not mine (I neither said nor implied any such thing), which must be why they are so ridiculous.

Exactly. Absolutely ridiculous.

Of course, we're talking about marriage here so (regardless of source) the promiscuity discussion is pretty much irrelevant. I seriously doubt gays would fight so hard for the right to marry legally only so they can then get divorced on grounds of infidelity.

I like to think that as someone who has spent the majority of his life in and around theaters, I know a LOT of gay people, and they are no sluttier than the straight people I know.

yes, i support legalized gay marriage.

this is just like women's suffrage, you think women got the right to vote because it was the right thing to do?

no, they were given the right the vote to appease them and make them STFU. it takes away their cause in life and political clout they had amassed.

i dont think gays have the same political clout the women did at that time, but it would make them STFU and take away their cause in life. then all the people who are tired of hearing about this issue on the news, wont have to hear about it anymore. because if you oppress them, youre just gonna feed the flames for them and keep them rallying and keep them in the news.

No, it's not the "end of story", and you're an idiot for saying it. I've known quite a few gay people throughout my life, and they're no more promiscuous than heterosexual people in their demographic group. I'd like to see you prove it, though.

I support eliminating the governmental role in marriage; institute civil unions that would confer legal benefits similar to marriage on any consenting adult couples that so wish. Marriage is an issue best left to the church.

Bullcrap. I dont plan on getting married in a church, and possibly without even a priest. I know my current gf feels the same way. I'd much rather just party hearty to celebrate then force my family to listen to gobbledygook for 60 minutes. You can still do vows in a small marriage.

I personally think it is not a very smart act by the Massachusets State Legislature.

I personally think it is rather bigoted for grown adults to be interfering in the lives of other adults. If gays want to marry sobeit. How does this impact your life??? MYOFvckinB

Then go get a shotgun wedding. Don't ask the government to solemnize a religious institution.

What does it matter? Gay people kissing isn't something new.

Let people do what they want, as long as it doesn't physically hurt others!

Regarding the thread title and the poll question...supporting it and thinking it's either good or bad are 2 very different animals.
