Built a pc with 2200 Celeron and 512MB DDR for my in-laws that the parts were bought by someone before being shipped off to the service. I just put the rest of the parts together but no OS was included so used my Win 98SE disk no longer on another pc until now. I was a little bit leery about putting it on there but oh was I surprised! It's a speed demon with out all the crashes thus far. It even starts up almost as fast as XP.

I got a virtual win98 machine in VMware, I use it to play old dos stuff (really does a good job with that, only the speed is sometimes waaaay too much, i'd like a CPU throttle function in VMware, but that's too much to ask I'd think 😉

The 4 pc's in my small company
-P4 2.25ghz (or there abouts), ram 512MB pc2700, 60 gig HD etc.
-P3 lappy I use as a desktop
-Celeron, about to be upgraded to an AMD 2K etc
- Email/sandbox prolly a celery too

Gaming machine in my sig

All my pc's use 98se. Currently playing with winXP (dual boot setup) on gaming rig

Using it on (for awhile longer) 900 Mhz AMD T-Bird. Looking to up to win 2k Pro. Kept win 98 SE on there for childrens games😀

I run Win98 on my 900 mHz Thinkpad. I use it for MS Office, WinAMP, PowerDVD, internet, and email win98 supports these apps nicely

Right now I use Windows XP Pro on my main computer (xp3000), WinXP Home (xp2500) on my backup computer and my brother is using Win98SE on his xp2500 computer.

I my self not running Windows 98 SE but I do have ISSUES. Some days I want to just have Windows 98 because I'm able to strip it down and play with it but then I get bored and get back on Windows XP and realize just how kewl it is till about 2 months later and I'm well .... back on 98 for a few weeks .... It's driving me mad I'd say!

Using Win98 on the 'living room PC', it's an Athlon 1G that has some RAM and a HD, I don't remeber such things for long. The thing would be using W2K except the ATI All In Wonder card didn't get allong as well with 2000. This machine will be rebuilt soon.

My 'other' computer HAD Win98 until I decided to try MS Money 2003. It trashed the system real good. Seems Money insists on installing all kinds of junk, most notably IE 6.x. The result was any click on the desktop or start menu would cause an infinite hourglass.

I admit the machine was long-in-the-tooth (could never shut down without a blue screen). At least it was usable. Now it has Lindows (check the HD forums). That works but without sound.

Compaq NOTEBOOK P133 ,
USED as storage for my DIG PICS with a compact flash adapter
and USED with my EEPROM PRoGRAMMER.

Pentium 166 machine w/ 80mb of edo ram. My brother and I take this box to the track with us to tune the MSD Digital Ignition on his race car.

most of the old people that I know run windows 98 because they don't feel/have the need for windows 2k/XP. Also the fact that their computers came preload it with 98. They use windows 98 for web browsing, word processing, email easy stuff.
