Towels, socks and underwear are in one batch. Everything else in the other (haven't had much trouble with bleed).

There is perfectly good reasoning for the practice of washing whites separately with some bleach. If you don't, your white clothes will not come out as white and as clean as someone who does. It may not be obvious to you since you don't have anything to compare it to. If dingy whites don't bother you then feel free to carry on as you are.

To be fair to most on here, they buy the cheapest clothes they can find. Shirts from Target already look pretty bad before you even buy them. I suppose if I wore $6 shirts & $12 jeans I wouldn't care about sorting my clothes before washing either.

wow at the poor...why wash in hot water to begin with? Most detergents work in cold today...that's doubly retarded.

Oh look everyone, here comes Alkemyst with his "anyone who doesn't do or seeing things i do must be poor".

I don't like the ipad. You must be poor
I don't separate laundry. You must be poor

Its getting real real old, real fast.

load everything together and think hot water is the answer.

Their clothes will wear out faster both color and material.

You must be poor. Rich people don't have washer and dryer. Rich people just buy new cloth, wear once and burn it after wear.

what? they do have washer and dryers...lolz

However, we don't wear our clothes until they are threadbare. I have about 50 shirts and pants with a few wearings I will be taking to goodwill.

They always like my stuff.

I don't know what kinds of clothes you wear, but for one washing clothes with towels covers everything in lint. Two if you have any DECENT fabrics, washing them with demin will destroy them.

Fact is if one can wash all their clothes in one load and not notice an issue, chances are WalMart is their main destination for all of it.

Not saying I am rich, but I have grown tired of those making $25k a year acting as if they are ballers...their stupidity is part of my tax rate.

This is a FACT!

oh look, i'm so rich that other people acting like they enjoy life (though clearly they must be depressed and broken hearted over only making 25k/year) piss me off.

hahaha. Your a sad little man if that how you really think that. Why does someone else enjoying life piss you off ?

btw. Nobody here was acting "BALLER". Its a thread about common practices and you have to come in with your "look everyone, i'm so rich" crap.

No, rich people (which you so claim to be since your tax-rate support poor people) either
1. Take there laundry to the dry cleaners.
2. Have maids do there laundry.
3. have maids/assistant drop and pickup there laundry.

this thread isn't about those people

Granted i'm a grad student so my clothes aren't expensive, but i've never ruined a shirt this way.

Is all that just a myth ?
The myth here is that you are a grad student (unless we're talking a special needs school) when you post a title of;

Who here seperates there laundry😵

hmmm laundry gets washed...suits get dry cleaned.

Maids do not usually do laundry. They come in and clean the home.

If you have a live-in that is very different...I don't know many that do and many are living in $5-6million+ homes.

BTW, it's "THEIR" I hate grammar nazi's, but twice in a row just shows you don't comprehend much.

Yeah, I just corrected him twice in one post on that.

Anyway in my experience most grad students are living a nice life with nice clothes and cars...sure it may be due to their parent's money....but chances are unless you know people to begin with that grad degree just cost you 2 years or more of income and you will start at the same rate as an undergrad anyway.

My biggest concern is as a grad student how this clown doesn't see how different clothes/fabrics/etc need different washing methods.

But by his own admission, he is just a broke ass buster anyway so it's not like anyone is not going to expect to see him covered in lint, with blacks that look gray and whites that look gray.

Hope he at least figures this out prior to his first real interview.

No shit...how the fuck do people graduate from high school, let alone a university and not know how to fucking spell?

I sea it hear al the thyme. Collage grajewaytes hoo kant spel and dont no gud grammer.

How does someone become a "grad student" with spelling and grammar that wouldn't pass a 4th grade English test?

He could be in engineering. We don't take no pansy English classes.

That sounds like a good friend of mine. He's an EE, and when I rag on him about his grammar, he says, "Hey, I'm an electrical engineer...not an English major."

its because people really don't care about spelling and grammar on an internet message board. id wager that 9/10 of them type/spell correctly at work. I also feel this way

also computers and spellcheck have ruined spelling for kids

So it's just laziness?

yep people just don give a fuck

That's probably true enough, but typing "there" instead of "their" doesn't sound like laziness, it sounds like stupidity...or just ignorance.

Spelling and decent grammar shouldn't be something you have to work at...

I've heard of this argument, and I can't imagine it.

How do you write 'wrong". Language is etched into your brain. Don't you have to actually TRY to write wrong?

It's not even a matter of caring or not. I can't imagine writing anything in a way that doesn't resemble a well constructed sentence.
