I had a Mac LCII, but i took it apart.

I destroyed the HDD (IBM SCSI 80MB)

and lost the rest of it somehow. how the hell do you loos a computer?
I want to find the PSU because it was really small.. it would work for powering a couple HDD's or something similar.

I've got 3 but 2 crapped out, so I guess that makes it 1 now.
Have a Powerbook 1400CS running painfully slow with bare essentials, a dead PowerMac 7500 (dead board) and a dead 400MHz iMac DV SE (dead board and fried monitor). I don't think I'll be getting another Mac for awhile but I enjoyed them when they worked. The 7500 was great for running Protools and Digi stuff. Oh yea, I've also got a dead Apple 1710AV monitor. That thing was a nightmare. It died on my 3 times within a year and had Apple replace the main deflector board or something several times. 3 years after I bought it, the extended warranty ran out. It was a very expensive 17" monitor. ($1000!!)
For now, I've got an Athlon setup now that I'm quite happy with running Sonar at the studio.
I'm open to checking them out again whenever I feel OSX feels snappier and more solidified with the apps I need.

I have an ancient PowerBook Duo 280c, a 60MHz PPC601 Performa 6115CD, and a 240MHz G3-upraded Performa 6116CD. The Duo is barely useable, the 6115 is OK, and the G3 is pretty nice. None will run OS X, though. The 60MHz machine is running MkLinux.

Raises hand.

I have been an Apple customer since the beginning with the Apple I. I have two Macs at home and a few at work. I am a registered Apple developer. I currently prefer Windows to OS X.

<< I have Apple Titanium Powerbook running OS X :) >>

My wife and I bought one of these for her to use, and we are very disappointed with it. OS X seems very buggy and slow. IE on it is a piece of junk. Apps like Painter, Photoshop, etc don't run that well either. It seems like OS X uses 75 percent of the computer's resources just showing a window. We are hoping they will upgrade/service pack the OS to make it run a lot better.

Apple II+ clone. Still works, but in the closet.

PowerMac 8500/150. SCSI drive is dead, but I just got a new one to replace it. Will be trying to set up OS 9.1 on it next week. The only problem is it's really short on memory, and the weird memory it uses ain't cheap. Maybe I'll stick with OS 8.6. The 20" Multiple Scan monitor with it nice though.

Apple iBook. 640 RAM, Airport, internal DVD/CDRW (4X) drive. Firewire CF reader, Firewire hard drive, Firewire 24X CD-RW, Firewire DVD-RAM/DVD-R burner. I wish it had a G4 though. :(

The speed improved with 10.1 and some links I posted in the OS forum show that 10.2 will be much faster too.

I have a Mac, but have only powered it up like twice (was trying to give it away like it was given to me). I have friends with Mac's though. I wouldn't be ashamed to own a new mac (if it was given to me mind you), they have some really good points (graphics apps) and they use to be stable as a rock. I used Apple IIe's in my computer lab in college and actually thought at the time they were going to be the household computer, while IBM was going to be primarily business oriented. Guess I was wrong.......:)

I have a older 8500/120 that I use for some light audio and video work and an 8100/80 that is cracking RC5 along with the 8500 and all my PC's. I have an old Powerbook 170 but really don't do much with it anymore as it's so slow for what I do but it still works as good as the day it was made. I like Macs a lot but their older OS holds them back. The 8500 I have is not all that bad. Going to slap a G4 card in it someday and see how it works.

He has the Apple Cinema Display, same as me. He mentioned it in this thread where I was asking some questions after I got my display. He probably didn't review it bc he doesn't do too many monitor reviews, or it wasn't sent to him specifically for reviewing, but I can tell you that *it rocks* without any hesitation.
