Well as you all know I posted something earlier about my chair breaking. I'm currently sitting on the edge of a bed with no back support. However this can work until I save up enough for a new Aeron chair. Anyone have one? Can anyone say anything negative about them? If so, please state it here. Thank you.

I heard that the mesh is quite harsh on fabric... You'll get the accelerated buttclouds on jeans, I think.

I almost bought one a few (4-5) years ago... but I decided to get a Hon Pillowsoft instead. Best $$$ I ever spent. I've spent hours a day in this chair and it's still as good as new. Think I got mine from OfficeMax for about $350.

heheh...suckers and their high $ chairs....$3 dollar 1970s ibm office chair is what my arse sits comfortably on. I spent 5 dollars buying pleather for it. Sturdy, leans back real far and solid. Did i mention it was $3. Of course it has no lumbar (sp??) support or any thing like that, but who needs it if you have good posture anyways??

Sorry, my old roommate was really into those aero chairs and he worked at an office furniture supply store. I liked to give him crap about it all the time.

(Have to know someone at ibm to get one though)

Are you offering to get me a chair for $3 since you know a guy at IBM and are calling us all suckers who would consider paying more for a decent chair? Seriously, I'll give you $300. Get me 100 chairs.

Otherwise, I will continue to save up for an Aeron chair like Nocturnal does..

I sit in one here at work. Very very nice...

But if it was my money, I'm not sure I could drop several hundred on a chair. :)

I have one at home and at work. I bought the one for home first. At work, it's the chair they provide for us.

It's a nice chair but if I had it to do over, I would shop around. I don't find it to be all that comfortable. As far as wearing on your pants, that is very much the case. Some of the guys at work have worn through their back pockets where their wallets are.

They do make a fabric cover for the bottom of the chair that eliminates that problem.

I think you can find a more comfortable chair for a lot less $.

Don't waste your money.

Pick up a comfortable chair for $50 - $100 from OD, OM or Staples.

Then send the remaining $800 to your credit card company as a payment :)

That is one of the best ideas ever and I'm actually planning on doing just that. I found a chair similar to the one that broke for $14.99 at OD. I'm going to pick it up today.

I fixed someone's computer once at his house and he had an Aeron chair. I didn't think it was worth anything what it costs.

its overrated and overpriced! dont waste your money. I have a samsonite chair from Staples almost 2yrs ago, paid around $250 for it. It is pretty comfortable, and holding up well, but still no commerical grade thou. I don't think it is actually made by samsonite, just a company using their name and pay samsonite a licensing fee.
