I'm debating on whether to get one or not.

Need to hear the pros and cons for a first hand user rather than the online reviews.

Strange query, but is the key for the Z the switchblade kind? Is that what you even call it...switchblade? I'm sure you know what i'm talking about.

I own a G35, which is close, right? :)

It's an incredible car, and the engine is amazing. What cars have you driven before? If you haven't driven a high-powered RWD car, you may want to take some time out to try and figure out how to control oversteer (or just always leave traction control on, but that's boring.)

Oh, it does drink gas pretty crazily, and you need to use premium. Best I've gotten out of a tank was 21MPG, and that's driving VERY conservatively. My average is about 18MPG.

thought about getting one when I was shopping for my car but I didn't like Nissans. Will it be a convert or a hard top?

Its not the switchblade key, nor does the g35 have one. Mostly european cars have those. However, i don't believe the nissan/infiniti keys can be cut, as many of the newer japanese cars have the chip in them.

Jeremy Clarkson didn't like it, when he drove one.

...and that's the extent of my knowledge on them. They sure do look great, though.

another G35 owner here too. I drove the Z and needed a trunk and a back seat :)

Great car, I get 17-22mpg though.

my roomate has a 350z touring edition... it's really nice, rides really comfortable, tons of power... etc.. Personally, i think the 350 is one of the best looking cars on the road right now (along with the g35 coupe)

of course thier are the obvious cons, such as gas mileage, insurance, and almost zero storage space... another thing to consider is that it is near impossible to drive in the snow.

if all your after is raw power.... well the 350 is nice, however you will get beat by cars like the STi and EVO

i seriously considered buying a 350 a few months ago when i was searching for a new car... however i really wanted the practicallity of a 4 door car and wnated something a bit cheaper. Went with a legacy GT and that car kicks ass . Kept up with 350's when it was stock, and now with 600 dollars in mods it will take any stock 350.

I have a blue performance (I should probably take some new pictures), and I love it. It's a blast to drive, and that's precisely why I bought it; it's not good for much else to be honest. If you want a soft ride so you can sip your latte while driving to work then the 350Z isn't your car, but if you want a sexy car (I think it is anyway) that's pure in its purpose, choose the Z :D

Damn that mileage is as bad as my SUV. I get 17MPG driving in the city with 4 passengers aboard and 24 on the highway.

I still like my Z32. Faster than the 350Z even when stock, with cheap performance upgrades it pulls away with ease.

I'd take a 350Z also though, and I like the blue color like Descartes' car.
