If you do a transaction near the end of Friday, shouldn't you expect it to not be processed until Monday? It's the whole "business day" thing. My bank does that, and I adjust the timing of my transactions accordingly. Never had any problems.

Friday I take out $900 to pay for a few things before I leave and to have some extra cash just in case.
Saturday, take out $60 or so.
Sunday, take out $100 or so.
Monday, go out to eat and drink with friends. Friends leave, my treat. 3AM in nowhereville. Bill is $150, I have $90. Small place, no credit cards. No problem, where is ATM? OK, across the street. Try to take out $100. Nope. $60? Nope. $30. Yep. WTF?!?! Crowd gathering. Calling bank. 30 minutes later...

WTF yo, $1,000/day, yeah? Ohhhhhh, so sorry sir, that's not counting Saturday and Sunday. Oh, you took money at 6pm on Friday which means it's available again at 6pm on Monday (6am Tuesday local time... it's 3am).

OK, but I won't be alive in another 3 hours, so how about you let me take out another $60 now.... mmmmkay?

You could have explained this better in the the OP. I would have known this already because I pay attention to the contracts I sign.

In banking anything after 2PM is always counted as the next business day therefore anything after 2PM Friday is processed as if it happened on Monday.

Interesting, I had no idea that the banks' "daily" limit lumped together Friday - Sunday. How 20th century of them.
