My desktop (main rig) is still a P4 1.8 gig, with PC 133 SDRAM, and only a 20 gig HD, and yes its from Dell...

THe vid card is a 8500 radeon 128 meg
 
P4 1.9ghz 512mb rdram pc800 gf2 mx right now. Its about 4 years old. My mom is running the system I used before that, its a p2 300mhz, no idea what else is on it, it uses some sh!tty 4mb vid card =/

Hah I know mine isn't that old but the p2 system is pretty old =P

Oh yeah and I got the system before the p2 in the basement somewhere, its a 386 lol
 
Still have a P2-300 lappy, and a P2-400 lappy running, and just got rid of celly-700 and celly-566 in the last few months. Mostly various Palominos are what I have left; nothing faster than xp1800.
 
i'm still on my AMD 1700+ with 512 ddr 2100.. i know it's not that old, but a certain game just plays like sh!t even though i have a 9700 pro.. must be my windows screwed up but i was so tempted yesterday to just pick up some new gear
 
I still use a dual pentium pro 200 for file storage and running a small user base ftp server. Not to mention the odd game of doom2 heh, still love that game

At home my main rig is still a Duron 900, 512MB PC133, 20GB HDD, and a Voodoo3 2000. It does everything but games flawlessly. IMO, the Voodoo 3 STILL has some of the best 2D around.

I have a celery 466 w/ 384 megs of ram that is sitting there, looking for a use. I think I'm going to make it a print / file server. It's on a BP6 but I never bought a second CPU for it (anyone have a celery 466 they'd care to donate 😛)?

There is a PII 266 that served as a HTPC for a while (well, more like a music decoder) but it got pretty bad, and I dunno if the 466 can handle TIVO functions, so it'll keep doing its thing.
 
Oh and my file server is a K6-3+. My favorite computer ever - I'll run it til it's dead. Before I moved into my new house it gave me over 500 days of uptime running an old Red Hat distro.

servers doesnt count.... it must be your DAILY computer (ie, the computer you play games, surf, do email, do whatever...)

Super Socket 7 r0X0rs my b0X0rs.
For some reason the K6's, pIIs and p4's seem to run forever in our shop but the Athlons and p3s just drop like flies.
I run the network in a manufacturing facility and we still have p100s running barcode scanner stations in our shops. They run NT4 and some of them haven't been rebooted in years.

Ohhhhhhh.....I see.

Well, until two weeks ago, I had an AthlonXP 1700+ / 768 ram / Radeon 9600 pro rig, which is becoming my dad's desktop as soon as I install XP on it.

He's using the celery rig described above ATM.

And when I'm off at school, the rig on my desk at home (which I use on the few weekends I come back) is a Athlon 900 / GeForce 3 (original, before they did th Ti Stuff).
 
my only computer right now is a Thinkpad 600e upgraded to a Thinkpad 600x, PIII 650 512 meg ram, 40 gig HD. I don't have anything to network it to where I am now, so I mostly use it to burn CD's of images from my digital camera, write a journal, and watch DVD's...oh and look at porn.
 
Well up until a few months ago, my parents were using a Duron 650 (non-overclocked). Now they have a P4 2.4 @ 2.9 (stock HSF).

that's exactly like mine. I have a GeForce 4 MX card though. Think your computer can handle doom 3?

radeon 9600pro (b/c my geforce2 pro crapped out on me)

i'm thinking doom3 will choke and die on my system...poor old cpu, lol.
