Who here is Khmer??

I'm not 🙂 But I'm steadily becoming more and more exposed to the culture every day - and I'm even learning a little of the language (I'm learning a few words/phrases, and I can already count to ten, hehe). So I was wondering if you guys could teach me a few useful phrases? 🙂 My g/f is Khmer and I've been having a great time with her, we're both learning more and more about each other's cultures, so I'd like to surprise her with some new things to say 🙂

I tried to spell them like they sound:

Kume som dao b'dopduck. [long o's] (May I use your restroom).

Kume slying on. [long o on last word] (means I love you to your gf).

I know more but don't have a clue how to spell them out. My wife and I are practicing 🙂 Yeah, the ah kun is thank you.

Genocide when I read the "Ah kun" I was like WTF? But then it sounded familar and worked it out. (thank you)

and wyvrn yeah tey are right. After reading it a few times I worked them out as well.

I can't write Cambodian for jack though! I can right my name in Cambodian: HeangKoing is my name.

ooooh, wyvrn, I know oun (I pronounce it like "own"), I recognized that when I saw it hehe. And "kume", how is that pronounced? Like "koo-may"?

Koing, living in England eh? Do you get much of a chance to speak Khmer over there? I'm mostly looking for some friendly/social stuff, name calling 😀 sweet stuff to say to my g/f, how to say 'please' or 'you're welcome', ya know, like everyday stuff 🙂

and BlipBlop, it's a name from when I used to deathmatch, so I needed something intimidating. Although the meaning is lost on the forums, I wouldn't mind picking something a little more "toned down" 😱
