I said I've owned only 1 system that isn't a Nintendo product. I've played just about everything. NES, SNES, N64, Sega Master System, Genesis, Saturn, PlayStation, Dreamcast, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Game Gear, Atari Lynx (I think thats what its called)... I even saw a Playstation 2 at a video game store.
I said the Game Gear was horrible in respect to the Gameboy. (Which I also owned)
It will be way later than their currently projected dates
The first release date was scheduled for late 2000. They since changed it to early-mid 2001.
Only contain a fraction of the storage of other systems on the market
If you mean capacity of the disc, they are using a DVD disc that holds 4.7GB of info. Which is what the PS2 uses - except Nintendo will use a proprietary disc to help stop software piracy.
Undersupported by third party software
Right now all they are doing is getting developers for the system. The hardware is finished.
Low supply of the games that will be available at launch
There are supposed to be at least 20-30 games at launch.
Mario's sorry ass will live again, they really should have killed his series off with the Super Nintendo
Mario is basically Nintendo's icon. Nintinto would not kill him or his image. Why would they? The Mario games are some of the biggest sellers.
A year after the launch of their new system there will only be 1/4 of the games available for it as opposed to new PS2 games...
In case you didn't know, The Dolphin (or Star Cube) is supposed to be extremly easy to program for. Unlike the PlayStation 2 which is considerably harder to program for.
...and of those 1/4 only 1/3 to 1/2 of those will be worth playing
I doubt that. Nintendo wouldn't want to pull a PlayStation and put out 70 games a week that had been worked on for a day. In case you didn't realize like 1 out of every 10 games Nintendo releases is a Million copy seller.
The Nintendo games will be priced 50-60% higher than the other systems on the market
Nintendo will no longer be using the cartridge, this means their games will cost as much or less as PlayStation 2 or Dreamcast games.
