Oh yeah.

How the hell do you beat the flight distance competition?!!!

The one w/ all the eagle mail carriers and thers the competition to see if you can beat the great one's distance. Jesus christ that is far. I get into the tornados and such but my deku leaf runs out of magic and SPLOOSH!

Have you doubled your magic meter?

I've been doing that sliding puzzle mini game in the cabana. It keeps track of the ones you beat and I want to know what the prize is. I've been fighting the urge to look for a walk through to find out ahead of time.

As for that letter sorting game... I barely got the minimum required for the third try. I think it was 30 letters. I got lucky and had a series where 2 or 3 letters in a row would go in the same box.

BEAT THE GAME!!!! 9 Hours 30 minutes 13 seconds i believe.... AWESOME!!!!

i call shenanigans!!

9 hours does seem awfully quick for a game that most review sites list as taking 20-40 hours to beat.

But also, there is no reason to lie here about beating the game... at least there is no good reason to lie about it. 😀

Get the double magic meter and time your jump right.

Fly in a straight line. You only need to catch one of the updrafts. If you don't go off course, you should be able to just make it. Took me like 5-6 tries.

OR

You can do it the easy way and buy a magic refill while half-way through the course with the Tingle GBA thingy.

I got 28 letters, and that was only because I had like 4 of the same one in a row. The mail carrier conversations crack me up 😛

I've been trying so hard not to say anything in these nintendo threads but I have to...HOW THE HELL CAN YOU GUYS SAY THIS ISN'T A KIDDY CONSOLE. OMG JUST READ THIS THREAD FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE SOMEBODY THROW ME A FRICKING BONE.

Sorry, it's out of my system now. Carry on and collect your "figurines".

It has kiddy elements but overall Zelda isn't a kiddy game. Zelda has always been about being able to explore every area of the world and finding secret places. The figurines are just a reward for doing that if you're so inclined.

You need to get the color camera and then take a full body picture of someone. Show him your picture to get a membership.

Just take a picture of the gallery owner for starters.

I'll admit it has numerous "kiddie" elements to it. The way they talk, the way they move, they way they look, the tasks you have to do on. Heck, just about everything is kiddie I suppose. Although the gameplay of it is far to complex for any kid to play.

You can have your blood, guts, and cussing in your game I suppose... guess it makes full use of its "mature" title that way. But I don't think its necessary at all and Nintendo doesn't either. I hope this "realistic violence" craze in video games dies off soon, it's annoying.

Instead of collecting figurines... you can collect tiny bikinis for your Volleyball girls?
Instead of taking pictures with a camera... you can use the game camera to zoom around boobs and butts?

OMG THAT IS SO UBER 1337!!!!

Thanks to Nintendo, I am again part of console gaming after a hiatus that started after I bought my N64 and played through Mario64. After that, no console games really appealed to me. I was addicted to Grand Theft Auto for a while, but that was on a borrowed PS2, so it only lasted so long. Gamecube, namely Zelda and Metroid have gotten me back into console gaming in a way that I haven't been since the SNES was going strong. Hell, I'm almost 27 now and am addicted to Zelda something awful right now. Kiddy game? I think not. Not if it can capture the undivided attention of an adult crowd like the one here in this thread and in several Metroid threads before this one. I don't care what anyone says either, Nintendo knows that violence, blood and gore don't make a game enjoyable to play and that's what they've stuck with. Damnit, they're right!

I played for 10 hours straight today save for eating and a couple of breaks while my brother played. Went treasure hunting mostly and explored the entire map. 🙂 I'm gonna study for exams for a few days and finish off the two temples on Thursday.

Now that I think about it, the game does feel quite short. Or more like there are fewer dungeons than usual, I guess. It does have a nice balance between exploration and dungeons, though. The treasure hunt is a great idea as well.

ok I dont have a gba, what does it do???

have you read the instruction booklet? With Tingle on the GBA you can have him drop bombs on enemies, discover hidden stuff, buy potions to replenish health/magic and all kinds of other stuff

What a retarded reason to dislike a game, have you even tried it yet?

Saturday, I played the game 10 hours straight. Sunday I played the game 8 hours straight. I'm currently at work thinking about how I'm going to play some more.

Y'know, when I first read this post, I thought to myself, "Geez, get a life, dude."

Then I got my GC and Zelda last week. Now I am Zelda's Bee-yatch. Only 5 more minutes before I get to go home and play more Zelda!

Trying to find the password to the pirate ship on Windfall Island...

I can't do no more than 27.
My best was 26...but i've been out of practice....🙂
Man, it took me like 10 tries to get 25, but then I was able to do it several times in a row. The control stick was giving me problems at first when trying to select the right slot.

I LOVE this freakin' game, BTW. It's worth buying a GameCube just to play.
