Who here has never dropped their cellphone?

I am a pretty careful person with my material things, and try to keep everything top notch. I've dropped my cellphone a few times no matter how careful I try to be with it, and trust me I'm pretty careful.

If you haven't post and tell us your secret!

I dropped my iPhone 3g for the FIRST time just the other day. I got it during release week so I had a pretty good streak going.... That's probably the longest I've ever gone (~6mo?)

Edit: Luckily I have my trusty Contour case on.

PS: ANY iPhone user should get this case, honestly the best one I've ever had or seen. Every person I show it to ends up ditching whatever they have and getting the same one.

There's actually a newer/better version that doesn't "flick", the bottom couple inches can slide off.

I have dropped my cell phone a couple times, but it was never damaged. However, I've never dropped anything more valuable than my cell phone. Never dropped a laptop for instance.

Oh and to give you an idea of how valuable my phone is, it's a RAZR V3m I got for free.

Yea that was my 2nd phone. It was a tank. At a point I just wanted to see if I could destroy it to get a new one, it still wouldn't die.

Same boat, very protective of my... everything. I had it in a pouch a little too big and it slipped right out as I got out of the car... phone meeting cement = 3 scrapes on side corner. At least it wasn't on the face.

I had my last LG fall out of my pocket while upside down on a roller coaster about 80 ft in the air.
That's the only time a drop has ever actually damaged my phone.
I drop by BB all the time. Usually, the battery case and battery go flying off. Unfortunately, I can't seem to permanently damage the piece of s hit.

How'd you know it was damaged? Are you the guy who dropped something from a roller coaster and was stupid enough to go into the restricted area underneath to retrieve it, and got his head chopped off?

I dropped my iphone 3G out of my lap onto the pavement the day I got it 🙁

Luckily it only suffered a minor scratch on the back of the phone.

I had some shitty flip phone before that. I accidently dropped it off my 4 story balcony onto a concrete slab below. It broke in half, but surprisingly it still worked after I stuck it back together.

I've dropped and killed many cell phones over the years.

My first cell phone was in 1996, so I've been through plenty.

I recall one time I was talking outside while it was raining and I pulled my cell phone out of my pocket, and due to the extra humidity in the air, it easily slipped out of my hand, in an effort to break its fall I quickly kicked my foot out to soften the impact but unluckily timed it perfectly that I ended up actually kicking it, it went flying a few feet in front of me and landed right in a puddle of water.

I quickly took out the battery though and let it dry out for a few days and it actually worked fine.

Never. If it's not in my bag, it's in a Crumpler pouch so even if I drop it, it's cushioned.

To be fair, I rarely use it, it's usually in my bag, and I've onl yhad one for 2 years.

I've never dropped a cell phone. The trick is "hold on to it." If you let go of it, then it will fall and you will have dropped it.

How do the droppers (all of you) live with yourselves anyways... I go paranoid whenever I drop anything electronic, even cheapo mice and game controllers. By the boasting, most of you have $200+ phones...
