I've been using kratom daily for around ten years. Within a few months of starting, I was completely drug and alcohol free and have been since. It has made such a positive impact in my life. Making this herb illegal would be a huge mistake.
"There are 2 Acts in the US Senate that can potentially ban Kratom according to pro-Kratom attorneys.
- SITSA ACT
- SCREEN ACT
These 2 Acts are well-intentioned and seek to ban Fentanyl analogues. However, their legal wording is extremely vague and may allow Kratom/natural compounds to be banned with harsh punishments."
Technically, kratom is an opioid not an opiate and it's a lousy "high." It is useful as a pain killer. It is also very useful to get those addicted to opiates off them because it occupies the same receptors, meaning if you first take kratom, opiates have little effect.I have a close female friend who uses it. She dragged me down with her "for protection" to some "head" shop run by middle eastern BS artists to buy it because she "didn't trust the internet." I couldn't dissuade her. I tried to tell her, "Well, these are opiates, even if they're mild ones; watch out and don't get hooked." Anyway, she gave me some to try. I fell asleep on the lawn, right at a "Human Peace Sign" event. Big deal. Not impressed. No more for me. But she continues to swear by them, like they're some sort of clean upper for her.
Yeah, thems the specifics and what I was gently trying to warn her about . . . not getting in too deep. It appears she hasn't. She uses it, when she does, mostly for energy and some sort of mild high. I wonder how much of that is purely psychological.Technically, kratom is an opioid not an opiate and it's a lousy "high." I'ma go find some pics of her. She (still) looks pretty damn good for 63.
At my hippie church with Santa Perk. I tell folks I'm Santa's brother, Subordinate Clause.
Don't mind me. I'm in a mood. Today, June 26th, is the 17th anniversary of the death of my wife Jessie at the age of f*cking 42. She was the only woman I ever asked to marry me.![]()

I signed. The End of a legal Kratom in the US? so Call your representatives and sign the petition in the link, might seem pointless but we gotta try.
"Long story short - There is a new administrator at the DEA.
The American Kratom Association is calling on the new Administrator, Uttam Dhillon, to immediately reject the FDA's recommendation to ban Kratom. This could be the decisive turning point in our struggle to keep Kratom legal"
https://americankratom.salsalabs.org/fdaadministratoruttamdhilloncopy1/index.html
"The FDA’s claims that kratom use is a gateway to the use of opioids, or the contributor for addiction to opioids, has no credible science to support that claim. In fact, the science and survey data on kratom use by those who consume kratom as a safe alternative pain management option, directly contradicts the FDA’s claims. The FDA should be required to provide real evidence, not opinion, speculation, or unsupported guesses."
The woman in the background at Nancy's house is Moose, now pushing 80. I've recounted it here, but two years ago we challenged each other to see how far into fall and winter we could go swimming outside in Tohickon Creek. We wuz Crazy! We went swimming outside on Christmas day! It was actually one of the warmer days.Blah, blah, blah . . .
Also in her house.
I just learned about this legal in most states pain reliever. I can't believe I've never heard about it so I am asking has anyone had any legal experience with taking it? I know it's being used in some places to help with opioid addiction. It comes from a plant and and big pharma hates natural remedies since they can't control its use unless it's made illegal.

Apparently, screaming, crying, randomly striking out while rocking back and forth in agony is a-ok as long as you're drug free.It would be perfect for them if it was made Schedule 1 as I'm sure they have already studied the shit out of it.
Their next big wonder drug will be a "cure" for opioid addiction.
It must be taking off, I saw a sign for a place saying they sell kratom there.
Hi guys. I know that thread is dead from 2018, but... I need your help. I recently discovered that I have migraines once a month and I am thinking about starting to take kratom. Will it help me cope with a severe headache?
