In general, are you happy to do business with E-Trade?
Do you regret opening an account with them?
Would you recommend E-Trade to a friend or relative?
How complicated is the sign-up process?

What do you use your E-Trade account for? (Stock trading, Savings, etc.)

Have you taken advantage of their new GLOBAL TRADING function? How have you done so?

Thanks.

I've had them for years, only complaint is that they took forever to accept my rollover IRA, finally re-sent everything for a 3rd time with a cover sheet that said "FOR ANYONE THAT CAN READ & FOLLOW SIMPLE DIRECTIONS" in huge bold letters for some reason they finally got it right :D

I also have Power eTrade, but use the free Marketcaster ticker, and like it quite a bit.

eTrade now has some B&M offices in most major metro areas too, and I've been to a couple of their workshops.

I really hate their mobile website, and wish they'd redesign it, although I use the traditional website with my iPhone now and find it pretty easy to navigate.

As I mentioned I have my rollover IRA with them, daughter's educational IRA, and my Roth with them, also have checking, savings, traditional brokerage, and global trading account (haven't used the global account yet though).

They call me usually quarterly from the local office or when I move over $100K in a day "Just to check" :D

I stopped using them for trading, but I have a savings account with them. Their transfers are extremely fast.

I have a savings account with them. No problems at all. Their trading accounts are a bit high in the fees for my tastes (since I have an extremely small (and rapidly shrinking) stock portfolio anyways)

I have several eTrade broker accounts. Best interface out there and they don't go down like Ameritrade.

I have an Etrade account. They pissed me off when they took 8 days to accept a bank transfer into the brokerage account. 8 friggin days. And I had used their 'Quick Transfer' feature to do this. When on the 8th day, the funds did not show up, I called them up and told em that I would be talking to a lawyer regarding the money I could have invested and possibly had gains on during the time they 'Etrade' held the money. I did that also partly because there were people complaining about the same thing about Etrade all over the internet. I had my funds in my account in an hour after I hung up.
I recently signed up with a WellsTrade account with WellsFargo. They set me up in 2 days. I'm moving all my stocks over to WellsTrade from Etrade right now. Since I have a PMA account with WellsFargo, I get 100 free stock trades but a bunch of other benefits.
WellsFargo might nickel and dime you on things but they have really good customer service. They've always helped me on the phone and always have gotten a resolution to my questions. They also operate out of the US and have more leeway in resolving your issues compared with Etrade who has its call center in the Philippines and has limited resources to do anything.

I have a brokerage account with them too, it took a really long time to get that initial deposit in (they withdrew it from my other bank account fairly quickly, but I had to call them to get it to show up as available funds). I like them so far, trade cost is reasonable ($12.99/trade), and I really like their interface as well.

I screwed up an order last night, it was placed right after the market closed but I figured when it opened today the purchase would go through immediately (purchase was at market price). Wrong. I was in a meeting this morning, and when I came back I noticed it was purchased at its peak 30 minutes after the market opened, and since the market tanked today I'm down a bit. I can't blame Etrade though, I should have set a limit on the purchase price..
