Well, try it out. However be warned, if you like it then that means you cant stop cause you will have a new look.

yes, start slow.
get a good lotion that is made for the tanning bed.
keep your undies on!
get good eye protection (those little goggles)
work your way up from 5 minutes to 7 to 10 to 12.
use the high pressure beds if they have them!

Tanning beds up your risk of skin cancer significantly. Close range UV rays probably aren't very healthy for you.

i skateboard a lot outside after work but the problem is that i wear clothes while doing so. therefore like my head, arms, and sometimes my legs get tanned.

I tan at tanning beds all the time, start slow, find a place that will make a plan for you, instead of throwing you in for 20min to make cash. buy minutes at first, than monthly plans as you tan more, wait 2 days between tanning at first, even though you cannot see a difference right when you jump out sometimes, the next day you will.

Just find a decent place to tan and they will answer all these questions for you.

Go to a tanning place that has the mist-on tan. It's quick and easy and a lot less dangerous (until they find out the pigment causes cancer).

ill take your word for it sonz, you seem to know what you are talking about

One last thing, they will push you to buy expensive tanning lotions, which at first you really don't need. These are only for when your sorta brown, and want to be golden. Dont buy them at first, they are a waste of money.

I've always been pastey white and I just started going with my girlfriend to the place she goes after months of girls urging me to get tan again. I haven't used lotion even once even though I burn very easily and not only haven't I burned, I really like the results.

i went in for 5 min for the 1st time on thursday and didnt get any noticible different, i did 7 minutes today, and if i dont get any results ill go again tommorow. its pretty boring in there
