7,500 miles on good non-synthetic is pefectly possible as long as you aren't burning oil and you are doing mostly highway.
And as long as you have no intent of keeping the car past a maximum of 150,000 miles.

Aww, c'mon. You know as well as I do that the 3,000 mile oil change is bunk. It's just cheap insurance, so even people like you and me go with it. 😀

Remember, there are 25,000 mile/1 year oils. You must change your oil filter every 6 months, and you really should be doing oil analysis, but that is still a fact.

Also remember that the 7500 mile figure is for light duty service. "Normal" is normally 5000 and "Severe" is 3750. Many, if not most, automobiles qualify for Severe service.

The normal oil change interval in Europe is ~9000 miles, IIRC. The 3,000 mile oil change stemmed from poor oil quality and less efficient engines in the past, but it is currently just marketing.

I'm not too meticulous but i do wash my car inside out weekly to keep it in pristine condition.
Oil change every 5000 miles.
Coming up on 90k miles.. so timing belt soon, i'm not too worry about it though maybe i can hold on till 100k 😀
Fix it everytime i heard something wrong or feel something is up.

7500 is fine, but I would never do it on a newer car. Unless the oil is synthetic.

In between. I make sure fluid changes are done frequently, but I've learned that if you _look_ for problems you can often find them, so in that sense I'll often wait for something to break first.

i wash and vacuum my car once a week
only take it for oil changes when my car tells me 2 🙂
