I like it tbh. I think its useful, especially if you go to the menu and click exit instead of options or save or whatever.

I think its pretty unnecessary.

I kinda liked what they did to them in the time of Duke Nukem. At least that was funny ...

It doesn't bother me at all, I get more disturbed at games that don't let you skip the opening credits. Now that pisses me off, do you hear me EA??? *shakes fist in air*

One of the few reasons I hate playing Crysis sometimes.

exactly what i was going to say. you have to:

1. push esc. and click to exit the current "memory"
2. wait for the "animus" room to load
3. click esc. again and select quit
4. wait for the profile menu to load
5. select your profile (you can't exit without selecting a profile!)
6. wait for the main menu to load
7. click exit
8. click yes

ridiculous.

These unskippable intros are ridiculous, and are so common these days. EA does it a lot but are certainly not the only company. It's a good thing that the movie files are usually easy to find and rename or delete.

Just hit Alt-F4 and you can exit any time.

You're saying that you hate them now, but one day you'll find a game that doesn't have the "Are you sure you want to quit?" message and just exits. When you find that game, you'll accidentally click to quit and think "Dammit, what the hell happened to the 'Are you sure you want to quit?' message?"

Gets annoying when you aren't drunk/retarded. When I am "drunk" or retarded (50%) of the time, I do accidentally click "exit" and it has saved me a lot of restarts, so I'll take it.

Since most modern games take about 45+ seconds to load, in addition to 8+ intro movies from everyone who produced the game, to those that stocked the game on the store shelf, if I accidentally leave a game, it'll be at least 4 hours before I return.

sometimes it's annoying, but it's also nice when you accidentally click "quit" and then aren't actually kicked out of the game :)

Alt+F4 For the Win! I can't stand this ether, but it seems as if Assassins Creed takes a liking to Alt+F4. My PC IMMEDIATELY loads desktop with not 1 nanosecond of lag between the action and the appearance of the desktop.

I wouldn't appreciate it if there was no "are you sure menu" and the Quit icon was next to the continue icon. I'd probably hit "Quit" more often than not, and be pissed ;). But I see what OP is saying.

if you hate it so much then remove it using ollydbg. (note it is best *not* to run ollydbg in vista 64 currently - but vista 32 is fine - or use vmware)

annoyance solved.

thank you.

and Braznor, if you run into any anti-debug features you fail to fix or get around then consider using any of the various stealth or anti-anti-debug ollydbg solutions available. Some are very extensive.
