One time I took all lthe pennys that i had tossed on my window sill and i put them in an envelope and wrote marry chirstmas (middle of summer) on it and threw it out the window. Later on there was some bum on our front "lawn" (little patch of grass) counting them all. I dislike pennies also.

the tiem it would take to save/roll a significant amount of pennies......I have better uses for my time that will yeild me greater results.

yes but if it takes me 15 minutes to roll them up and take them to the bank thats still too much of my time.... to be worth while and i would imagine it would take longer than that as iw ould have to goto the bank to get the paper rolls and then proceed to roll them and then return to the bank.....bahhhhh

My friend lost one of his scuba weights and needed one to dive. He put pennies from his jar of pennies in a sock and used that as his weight.

Its only funny because of the fact that it was cheaper than going and buying a new weight.

I roll up quarters and dimes myself, but pennies and nickels can suck it. They get put in the coinstar machine. The last time I did pennies and nickels at the coinstar machine I got over fifty dollars from it. The five dollars it took was well worth it for not having to count and roll pennies and nickels all weekend.

I love pennies. I dump all coins smaller than quarters in a jar and when the jar is full, take it to the bank. My bank has a machine for me to dump coins in, then I take the ticket to the teller to deposit. No rolling. No fees. My kids love it, I usually let them do the work and keep the money.

I whorde them and even pick them up off the ground. Every 2-3 weeks, they go into my checking account... yeah, it's not a great use of time, but if it makes me feel good and isn't particularly PITA or anything.... I don't see how it's not a better use of time than say, watching tv?
