Actually, I'm having bilateral cataract surgery, my arrival time is 9:30AM. Hope I can see something for the rest of the day, but I have my music just in case.

I had both of mine done a week apart in September. I had the premium corrective toric Lens installed to correct the bad astigmatism in my right eye and a premium lens and a LRI ( Limbal Relaxing Incisions) to correct the astigmatism on my left eye. It was a tiny bit blurred the evening of the first day and after that my vision has been near perfect, 20/20 distance in my right and 20/25 in my left. I can even read without glasses, but I use off the shelf readers as it is easier.

My astigmatism is slight enough that I don't require toric lenses (which are an additional expense) according to my doctor.

I have pretty much no idea what to expect today other than that they are doing both eyes at once and will put a shield over my eyes that stays on, I think, until I see the doctor again 24 hours later. I'm putting in my first eye drops for dilation in a couple minutes...

I work at a financial institution so I have the day off. Really worked out since my kids have the day off as well so we got to go do something fun.

Ever since I started having the day off as an adult, I've used it to mark the starting point of the "holiday season". Halloween decorations went up this weekend, place is looking festive!
