I suddenly have the uncontrollable urge to register a domain.

I had three domains as of a year ago, but two of them were pretty much nonsense and I sold them to a friend, just the one in my sig remains. I have a few things there including forums, but I don't really do much with it. Name is the same as my handle, which can be explained here: Username Definition thread: Explain your strange names here To begin with it was $70 for 2 years I think, renewal has been somewhere around $35 for 2 years, and that's with Network Solutions. Originally hosted with Icom before they were bought out, then with Dixiesys at the beginning of the year but was getting a little worried about the issues some of their servers were experiencing, jumped on a webhosting special with Manlius and that's where I am now.

I just bought two domains this weekend.

One for my webhosting biz and one for our auction e-mail, damn this is addicting.

Then I bought a reseller hosting package.

I have ntrinsik.com, took from my aim name, but the host died or whatnot.. I might get one of the dixiesys packages soon as their sale ends soon and redo it.

You'd better act fast, the 2 for 1 special ends Tuesday night.

I should sign up to be a reseller because I run 2 sites right now at Dixies: www.damhoffcomputers.com andwww.skippysg.com

Damhoff Computers will be up and running live within this next month I hope as I get everything setup and configured and skippysg.com is just my personal site that needs a little updating:)

Still no hosting

Why no host?

I've just been lazy. Might get in on a deal soon.

I would get in on the Dixiesys.com 2 for 1 special before it ends Tuesday night (12/31/2002). For only $19.95/yr you get 80MB storage space, 3GB/mo bandwidth and 10 e-mail addresses or a more powerful solution is the $39.50/yr (or $3.95/mo) which gives you 400MB, 6GB/mo, and 40 e-mail addresses. All these figures include the free doubling.

On a side note I just successfuly setup my first webhosting account (our eBay hobby auctions website), waiting for NameServers to propogate is a slow process ... all this damn waiting!!!

I own kooroo.net I host at surpasshosting ... I use it mainly for application development because it's a lot easier making web interfaces for routine crap than it is to play with the windows gui. Also, I got tired of all the noise my parents were generating because I had my hosting/dns/email all set up in my room...so I use the host now. I just can't find ways of using up my space and bandwidth.
