The way my company is setup we have to go to home office, then outside the intranet.

With that being said I only pull about 10,000 kb/s down, but that is not accurate. Since my office houses about 2/3 of our data center servers and such, we have 2 redundant OC3 lines (each pair is with different carriers, so if one companies fails we have failover), plus a few T1's. Since my PC goes to home office then out, it's not accurate for my office as we have ~300mb/s worth of pipe coming in our main lines (the 2 OC3 lines).
