Best alarm clock, ever.

I had a nanday and quaker parrot once. They were both screechers. Their cage was in the living room and every fucking morning they'd start screeching at the top of their lungs. I wanted to kill them when they started to do that.

Nothing wakes you up better than murderous intent first thing in the morning.

I miss those guys a lot. :'(

I bought mine in 1987. It remains the longest-tenured piece of electronic equipment that I have owned, and I refuse to replace it until it is officially dead.

sexy woodpaneling on the side, AM/FM tuner with wake to annoying alarm sound or Radio (always radio for me). I can set this thing in 20 seconds flat, in the dark, with my eyes closed, drunk off my ass.

It's a GE or Emerson, and I'm pretty sure it was made in USA. probably the last such possession of mine. 😀

I invented an alarm clock that had an attached DA revolver loaded with one round. At the selected alarm time it would spin the chamber, and then pull the trigger once every 5 min after that.


... Insurance company wouldn't let me take it to market.

I have this one and really like it. It usually walks me up with just the light coming on and now sound, but it gradually gets brighter and louder if I don't wake up.

I had one of these when I lived in Japan as my *second* alarm. I could hit snooze on my primary clock *once*. When the snooze ran out, I knew I had 2 minutes to haul my ass out of bed, cross the apartment, and shut this damned thing off before the little bastard started on me.

I wouldn't use anything remotely expensive as an alarm clock. I'm not friendly when I'm still mostly asleep.😱
