So I'm talking with a friend of mine about food. Then we start talking about brunches. Those killer Sunday brunches in which you dine on the finest of foods with some champagne. He tells me about a great brunch at the Hilton in San Francisco. He says that food was awesome. I looked it up some time ago. I phoned them and they sounded pretty good. BTW, you're paying a lot for the view, but I'd go for the food. I just checked it out again and they've redone their web pages. They've also raised their prices from $55.00 to $65.00 for brunch. I figure by the time you finish with gratuities it gets ridiculous. However, the food is still tempting. Here's the menu.

Caviar, smoked fish, lamb chops, smoked salmon, (I'm beginning to drool), prawns, Proscuitto, Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise, etc. Where is the best Sunday brunch? What do they serve and for how much?

Guys like to eat. I'm a guy

On a Sunday? champagne? WTF?

Men don't have brunches, especially on Sunday. That is unless you consider pizza, hot wings, and beer brunch while watching some gd football.

It is great and easy to do at home. Get a package of Knor Hollandaise sauce mix. Any canned stuff is crap. Mix it with butter on the stove, lots of calories. Toast your English muffins, fry your Canadian bacon, assemble, put a poached egg on top. Drizzle with your hollandaise sauce. Yuummmm!. I used to do this a lot. It is caloretic.

I suppose your number one beer is Budwieser, too. I've seen many guys drinking champagne, and at brunches. Excuse me, in Germany its called "fruhshoppen." Get some culture. And get some real sports. I don't watch football, but I do participate in white water kayaking and scuba diving. I've won trophys in spearfishing contests.

yes he does...that hardly looks like a brunch menu....more like straight up breakfast...plus it was the fact the men don't eat brunch period...UNLESS....it's wings, beer and pizza..

Sorry, I don't purchase nor drink American beers. While I was in Germany taste testing many of the local beers enjoying the celebration of the World Cup, I noticed that football over there quickly qualified for one of the most pathetic sports ever. The Europeans hold on to it like a life line though. The type that would consider champagne & brunch manly.

If you are in Vegas, I suggest the Sterling Brunch at Bally's. It will set you back $85. Unlimited champagne, lobster, high end foods.

Here's some links to the places for Sunday brunch mentioned so far. Some info I've posted was provided by those responding to this thread.

Old Country Buffet, $7.99, buffet style, economical

Saltys in Portland, OR, also in Seattle, WA, $30.00, buffet style

Sterling Brunch at Bally's, Las Vegas, Nevada, $58.00, buffet style

Hilton Hotel, Cityscape, San Francisco, CA, $65.00, buffet style

Sterling Brunch at Bally's has unlimited broiled lobster, yummm! All sound great, but I know where I want to go in Las Vegas.
