Need a new one for my 30 year old Porsche. Is this a trip to Sears or the auto parts store or somewhere else? Thanks

I've always been very happy with Interstate batteries, or if you want to pony up a little more cash go with an Optima gel battery. Interstates are usually sold at garages, optimas you can actually buy from Pep Boys of all places (but for about $110).

911? It tends to be difficult to find batteries that are a direct drop-in for older 911's from what I've heard, but I'm not sure is a '74 would be old enough or not. The only other Porsche being produced in '74 was the 914 and batteries for the 914 can be found just about anywhere. I prefer Interstate myself.
