hahah so the tornado fuel saver has some competition. joke's on them though, you'll make more money bilking people if your product is made of punched sheet metal rather than milled aluminum.
Looks like we found the two stupidest members of ATOT. Quebert and the Chiroquackter. No surprise really.
At what point would you be willing to "talk shit" about people who you perceive to feel a benefit from something that provides no benefit? If I were to wear a tinfoil hat into your office and told you that it was the only means by which I was able to leave my house would you only be thankful that I found a means to leave the house. If along with the tinfoil hat I hopped to your office on one foot because I it fooled the earthworms into allowing me out of the house would you still be accepting of my methods.
What I'm getting at is where would you draw the line? Is there any action by anybody that you find foolhardy?
wtf? when did i say that i actually believed these bracelets worked? i think i remember saying that i didn't think they had any benefit, even if they actually did improve balance.
i didn't say they worked... however, what i did say is that if there was someone who was perceiving a benefit from it, i wouldn't try and negate it. it's all a mental thing and i'm not going to ruin that for them if their brain is helping them out. i also said that if quebert thinks he's getting benefit from it, good... if he feels like he's gotten his moneys worth, why be a dick about it?
wow, i didn't learn shit in PSY101. I thought you bought 4 of these things? don't you wear them on each ankle too?
[/B]033016]Doubt it, why would they pick an unknown NBA trainer to endorse a product? 99.9% people don't even know who the fuck he is. Shaq swears by them too, and I could see the people behind the product paying somebody like Shaq to endorse it. But he doesn't need money so and they couldn't afford his asking price any ways so it's highly unlikely he wears them because he's getting paid.
I just fell out of my chair, time to buy one.
Power Balance admits no science behind wristbands
I think the reason why you are being attacked over this is because you are in the "medical" field and should call a spade a spade, whether it makes a person upset or not. Your failure to do so hints at some indirect support for the product in the minds of some here, given your past history with silly things such as a chiropractor curing ADD.
bullshiti'm not going to be the miserable asshole who goes around mean to people or telling them what they believe to be true is bullshit.
i don't get the flu shot because i think it's bullshit.
eits said:yeah, it's capitalism and there's nothing wrong with capitalism, but when you're brainwashing an uninformed and unsuspecting public into believing they need something you're selling, it's bullshit.
most of the drugs you see advertised on tv are bullshit drugs that people don't need.
bullshit
in regards to prescription drugs, i may consider them bullshit
chiropractic care can help decrease a.d.d. symptoms in kids
i don't get the flu shot because i think it's bullshit.
first, i never claim to cure anything. secondly, whether you agree with it or not, chiropractic care can help decrease a.d.d. symptoms in kids and potentially improve scholastic performance. it doesn't happen for everyone and i express that to people. the way the a child's nervous system develops is dependent on nutrition, motion, and biomechanics of the body. please, let's NOT turn this thread into yet another chiropractic argument thread that will eventually get locked.
finally, i'm getting attacked because i'm not attacking? that's stupid. i've stated my point of view about the product and how i don't feel it does what it claims and, even if it did, it would still be kinda pointless. why should i attack people who think that it is helping them? if they feel like they're being helped by it (for example, a pitcher who does better wearing his lucky hat versus wearing a different hat), then why try and dispell that? what benefit would the person have by having a person feel like that?
personally, i don't care whether someone thinks that they perform better by rubbing a buffalo wing on their hand before playing a sport or doing an activity. if it makes them play better, then they can do it until their heart's content. it's not hurting them, so whatever. i know better, but why would i want to ruin it for them? there's a lot to be said for the benefit people have from the placebo effect.
with that said, i won't willingly try and sell someone something that i believe to be bogus. if i know something that i feel to be placebo-based, i would feel uncomfortable selling it to patients (for example, homeopathic hcg diet and these wristbands). if they want to do it, fine... if they get benefit from it, great. i'm not going to be the miserable asshole who goes around mean to people or telling them what they believe to be true is bullshit.
So...this thing is just two sets of fan blades in a cylinder?
All it needs now is Electrolytes, and they could increase the price another $10.
Head trainer for the pheonix suns? it got you to buy one didnt it.
So...this thing is just two sets of fan blades in a cylinder?
Wouldn't that actually (slightly) increase the work the car needs to do, since it has to use more energy to draw air through the intake? (Not that anyone buying it would care about reality. 😉)
one of them is also a mactard too....Looks like we found the two stupidest members of ATOT. Quebert and the Chiroquackter. No surprise really.
