I have had broadband for 2 years. I do not even remember dial up. Now I have a wireless router in my home and 3 computers on the same hook up and they are still lightning fast. :)

I live in a town of 15,000 people, and I have broadband.

3500K down/128K up.

I'd pay extra for 256 or 768 up. Oh well.

good damn it! we been waiting for the Cable company for almost 2 years now. They have some flashy TV AD's but still nothing.

I`m still waiting for my broadband,I`m supposed to have 3 choices ,128k,600k,1mb,but any of them is better then my 56k at the moment.I can get cable if I change my phone company and phone number but that just adds to the cost and hassle over my current phone company.

Anyway they said "cable`s in your area real soon",reminds me of "how long is a piece of string?" question.

ffmcobalt, If you look at the population, our 10% vastly outnumbers their 50% on a 1:1 ratio.

That is true but I live in New York City, it just so happen that our cable company is Cablevision (They own Radio City, NY Knicks, NY Rangers, The Wiz and a bunch of other shitz ) and they been promising Broadband for two years now.
we are launching in april...we are rolling out in December...they are coming 2 years now but still can't get here yet.

They are thinking about selling there cable company which could be good if Time Warner bought them.
