good damn it! we been waiting for the Cable company for almost 2 years now. They have some flashy TV AD's but still nothing.

More than half of all Korean households have high-speed Internet connections ? compared with fewer than 10 percent in the United States ? and the exploding Web culture has driven economic growth and spawned civic movements that have powerfully affected everything from politics to consumer culture.

God damn it, korea

If you look at the population, our 10% vastly outnumbers their 50% on a 1:1 ratio.

First thing at the top of my rental list

"Broadband available here?"

I have it now and will not move anywhere it isn't ;)

Replace Rental with "home" and that fits me too :)

My fastest download I've seen so far here is 5MBytes/second. Not too shabby. ALthough I think I need to find a server capable of maxing out my connection. :p

Not to mention the geographic footprint of South Korea is about the same as the state of Indiana, and the vast majority of the population lives in only about 1/3 of that. A little bit easier to reach that level of broadband saturation when the target market is relatively compact, rather than strung out over a continental sized land mass.

got broadband and it's alright. My dialup was tweaked to a point where on a fast server where everyone's getting pings of 15 in CS i would be getting around 150. Sometimes with ATT i get 200-250 when people are getting 50 =/ go figure

This is also the reason that the forearms of korean men are larger than the average american.

Heh, when I got orders to South Korea, my first Google search was Osan & Internet Access. :)

Hello, my name is Sgt Buddy, and I am an internet addict.

I will have DSL in the dorms. :)

Hehe, schweeet. I'm just happy it's available at all in this town! I'd love a bit more upload bandwidth though.
