Who found work since graduating in Dec 02?

I haven't 🙁 Job market sucks. been sending out 3-5 resumes each day, only had 2 interviews. 1 more next week, but no job yet :|

I was very fortunate and landed a job as an E&I Engineer for a big consulting firm in January. Out of 5 of my close friends I graduated with in December, 2 have jobs, the other 3 are still looking.

graduated dec 02... interviewed with MS couple weeks ago, but no word.

most (if not all) of my friends who graduating may '02 and dec '02 have jobs.

Got a job September 02

but making money faster in the stock market than being at work.

<---job = dead end, but I get to do some very productive web surfing. PLus having steady income helps

I have been working since graduating in Dec '02 with a degree in business and MIS. The two jobs I've had have totally sucked though and have been so remedially mind numbing. I quit the first one becuase I couldn't take it any more. The one I have now is for a way better company, but I'm freelancing so I don't get any benefits. While I have my foot in the door, I'm trying to network like a banshee. We'll see what happens. But you're right, the job market is definately not good right now.

I'v been looking since May 2001, I currently a temporary with a company and have been since Febuary of 2002. Thinking about going to law school now.

OTOH, its a bit more comforting to know more people are in the same situation as I am. as i said before, literally alllll my friends have jobs right now.

add me too 🙂 graduated with a degree in chemE and mat sci. i've been applying to dod jobs lately from http://www.usajobs.opm.gov/ i've completely given up hope on corporations. I've submitted to probably every fortune 500 company that falls under semiconductors, chemical, oil, food, defense, pharmaceuticals, lol. Probably end up working at a fortune 500 company like mcdonalds or walmart. No interviews since i was at school. I'll probably end up applying to low to mid tier grad school in the fall, if nothing pans out. all my friends from high school have jobs or still in school except one which graduated in dec too.
