Who feels like their girlfriends are too clingy?

Feel like she's always around? (Or he, for the female ATers) Or does it only get annoying when they insist you stay away from the computer for more than a half hour a day? Too dependent on your approval? In what ways is your s.o. too clingy?

I should clarify. This thread is open to rants, raves, and praises alike. I'm just curious because some of the girls I know whine about their boyfriends not wanting them around while the guys, equally my friends, feel like they never have any time of their own.

Well, when I'm in a relationship, I guess I can be considered "clingy." I'm with that person because I enjoy my time with them so I like to spend as much time as I can with that person. If I don't feel that way about them, I don't think I should be with them.

The problem is finding a girl who will cling back.

I agree with most of the posts,,,clingy is good.

I think when you are in love,,every moment should be spent thinking of that person and wanting to be with them. sure, you each have your own lives and do your own thing,,,,but at the end of the day, i would think the only place you would want to be is with them,,,but i guess that's just me. i wish i had that now...

but don't you want to have your personal space? what I mean is that I think is important that the two people spent time together, but at the same time, they're still two individuals, and I think individuals need their own personal space. Plus, wouldn't you guys get tired of each other if you spent time together ALL the time??

Clingy is nice for a while, but it gets old...and they only get more clingy with time.

Maybe I'm too young to deal with a super serious relationship, but once the GF starts getting into Wife territory, the problems begin.

I know a lot of you say that a clingy GF is better than no GF, but I'm going to have a to disagree with that. Thats just the desperation talking.

Are there any girls out there that arent clingy? And I dont mean not clingy for the first 2 months until they get their grips on you, I mean for an extended period of time. Or is marriage always a factor in the back of their heads?

even worse are a couple of the girls i know being all clingy to like random guys, not even guys they are going with.. if you can picture that.. AGH, slu+s!

i hate it when a couple is like never apart.. i mean it sucks for everyone else too, half of my friends are with their girls way too much! but the silly thing is, the GIRL friends i have, are always willing to spend time just to hang out.. i don't get it.... :disgust:

Wow, i was gonna post something similar to this too! haha...yea i have a problem with my g/f always wanting to see me all the time and it kind of bothers me that i can't get some space. In the summer, i use to go over her house everyday...spend every little second i was awake with her. that was really annoying, but now...we go to school/work on separate days and its working out pretty well. people just hvae to have their space or they'll go insane!

This became a big issue between me and my ex. It was fine at first, you know, being in lust and all, but after a year it was like "Don't you have any hobbies besides me?" She didn't understand, I think, and it hurt her feelings, which I regret. Its not that I no longer wanted to see her, or anything like that. I just like spending time by myself, piddling around doing nothing productive, really; napping, reading, tinkering, waxing the car, watching TV, etc. These things are important to me. She wanted to like coordinate our schedules so we could maximize our "togetherness". AAHHHHHH! We were just different like that.

I had an Ex who was sometimes clingy sometimes not. CLingy in a movie in private. During. *ahem* Adult Pretenses and practices but not in public. and we regularly did our own thing. with our own friends. we had alot of the same friends but it went both ways.
