Czar, have you been taking lessons from Moonbeam?, you typed a lot of words and didn't say anything.

Have a problem with a book description? What's wrong too many words?

Are you capable of an intelligent thought or just ad hominem attacks?

<< interesting...

heres a question... are the jews in palestine direct descendants of the jews that occupied that area in roman times or are they mostly eastern european immigrants?
>>

It's one and the same. They were kicked out of Israel by the Romans. They fled all over the world, most eventually settled in Eastern Europe.

etech,
hehe sorry probably didnt come out well enough. What I'm trying to say that if Israel cares about its outer image then it should listen to the UN regardless of past history. One example about Israel's image, a month ago or so the Isreali ambassador was going to hold a public meeting to present Israel as a tourist attraction. All good except in the end there was a public demonstration outside of the place where people were condemning actions taken by Israel against the Palestinian people and the ambassador didnt show up. This is something Israel should take notice of if it wants to keep healthy relations with other countries.

From my point of view, palestinians got shafted pretty bad after ww2 (relocations etc) but that doesnt give em right to go out and kill civilians.

As for russ, i bet hes got a confederate flag under his bed... He should watch little less fox news and get out of the propaganda warmachine

Jeez, get over it already. What are you twelve years old?

If you're going to post on an emotionally charged issue, why don't you do your homework and get your facts straight? It will save you some"insults".

You don't know your history. A large portion came from Middle Eastern countries like Iraq and Yemen. A significant portion even came from Afghanistan.

Russ, calling Czar pro-terrorist is like calling you pro-facist. They are both wrong and overgeneralizations. You sound like Tom and Tex.

Israel gets attacked by terrorists. Czar says nothing in opposition. Israel tries to defend themselves, Czar says that's no different then what the terrorists did. Hell, he even started an entire new thread to proclaim how fed up he was with Israel. Clearly, his sympathies are with the terrorists.

Russ,
aha, so you continue with the insults, when you go on a meeting and someone there says something that goes against something you belive is right, do you scream "asshole" at him?

Russ,
did you read the reason why I dont post in those threads?
Did you read the thread and the reason why I was fed up with the Isreaelis? that was because they were stopping medical people getting to the injured, then they started to shoot at them and kill them, ask any doctor in the world what they feel about the subject.

Arabs claim that Palestinians had lived in Palestine from time immemorial. Why then the curious clause in the 1948 United Nations resolution pertaining to the
definition of a Palestinian refugee? The definition had as a Palestinian refugee any one who had lived in Palestine for a minimum of two years prior
to departing the country.

According to a book by Joan Peters, the idea of "from time immemorial" did not surface in Arab propaganda against Israel until fairly recent times and was given special focus only after the Six Day War when the Arab
worls was dispirited by its loss to Israel.

Arab propagandists felt that the only way to maintain the hatred of the Palestinian refugees against Israel was to invent for them a pedigree tied to the land. That hatred was useful from the Arabs' long range goal of eliminating from their midst an anomaly with which they could not live - a Jewish state.

Why the Arabs cannot tolerate the idea of a Jewish political entity in their geographical sphere is another question answered by Peters who presents a clear survey of the Muslim presumption to dominion over
other groups.

Czar, this is just for you, from a CNN interview with a Hamas spokesperson:

HEMMER: How many suicide bombers are still in the pipeline on the Hamas side? Tens? Hundreds? Thousands?

HAMDAN: I can't give you a number. I believe if the situation continues as is, you will discover that all the Palestinians consider themselves suicide bombers. It's not all related to Hamas. (There have also been) attacks by Fatah, which is led by Yasser Arafat, or by the Islamic Jihad and other Palestinian groups. All the Palestinians are fighting Israel, so they have to expect such attacks from everywhere and from any Palestinian group.

Czar, since you believe that violence is not the answer, I have a proposition for you.

I will fly to Iceland at my expense and meet up with. At that point I will repeatedly kick you in the nuts until you fall down, then take your wallet. OK with you?

Russ:

How about you stop being a jerk and actually post something constructive? Your pro-terrorist accusations are just babble and do nothing but enflame the situation. Hearing such nonsense reminds me of why I despise conservatives and their idiomatic views.

Czar

I commend you on trying to remain on topic and answering the questions of others without being sidetracked by Russ' hogwash. Not all Americans are quite so nationalistic that they're blinded by it.

Since when is it nationalistic to be pro-Israel? I didn't know that Israel was part of the US.

Why the need to apologize for being an American? If American pride bothers you so much I'm sure that there are other places you could go.

Is anyone else here old enough to have watched the 72 Olympics live on TV, if so you'll understand why I support Israel.

There have been mistakes on both sides, but when the Palestinians adopted terrorism as a life-style they lost any support or sympathy I would have given them.
