How are candles metrosexual?

i'll bet yankee candle customers are 99% women.

I bet your right......still don't see how this fits the metro sexual mold. A metrosexual is a hetero man that embraces the homosexual lifestyle. Homosexuals are still technically men so if 99% of women are buying the candles then that just disproves your statement.

But I digress....I can't tell you how many times ladies have been impressed by me having a single candle lit in the house when they come over. 99% of the candles I've ever had were given to me by a woman.

No, a metrosexual is a hetero man with some female attributes/sensitivities.

ur not correct everytime mosh.

i.e. queer eye for the straight guy.
still... the guy is showing his feminine side, like i said.

I love candles, especially quality ones that have a "true" smell. You can tell a huge difference in good candles vs. cheap ones.

Yankee is very VERY good, but also rather expensive, although they last a long time.

I have been getting into soy wax candles. There is less soot with them.
Also, there is a very neat candle company that has a wood wick so when you burn it, it crackles like a fire.

Weird as I am, I will only burn certain candles at certain times of the year. Aside from the obvious evergreen and candy cane around Christmas... apple only in the fall, flowery scents only in the spring, fruits such as melon and pineapple in the summer and for the fall, spiced cider and cinnamon.

I live about 25 miles from the Yankee Candle factory. They have a great tour, plus an old time auto exhibit. If you ever make it up to northern Massachusettes is a nice place to visit, plus you can make your own candles.

Me too. I never feel weird walking into a Yankee Candle store and buying stuff from them either. I definitely don't feel like a metrosexual. Everyone likes stuff that smells good.

I don't like the store because it gives me a headache from the smells. I get mine from Halmark. Not as stinky in there.

Christmas Cookie scent is the best IMO.

I don't like any of the non food scented ones really.
